As usual, I only write a review if the experience, positive or negative, stands out. This one managed to hit both notes in a single swing.
The highlight for me is definitely Joan Bida. A refreshing change from most other cars sales reps I’ve worked with. Straight, concise, to the point, so much so that I’m sold on Joan and didn’t even try to haggle with him.
In fact, I’m so comfortable with our interaction, I’m coming back to buy from Joan even if we couldn’t work something out today.
The monkey wrench for me was when a couple of senior reps who came to talk to me. That completely took down all the momentum that Joan built. They completely broke the rhythm. One of them even managed to talk down to me while beating around the bush as to why he was only able to give me a small discount.
Senior manager or VP(s) of Rohrman, if you’re reading this. Please stop dragging the purchasing process. I clocked the vehicle I wanted within 30 mins or so of arrival. I should have walked out the door with the paperwork and the keys within the next hour, not the next 4 hours. I arrived around noon++ and I manage to be late for a 6pm dinner appointment. That’s just ridiculous.
This next one is for Toyota. Why in the world are you charging your customers credit card processing fees? Is this Kyoto fast food takeouts? That level of pettiness just left a bad taste to a beautiful car. Just this and the subscription based remote start is enough to convince me that this is probably the last late model Toyota I’m ever buying.
The allure of reliability only goes so far if you constantly deteriorate the buyer experience YoY. Especially when you have Mazda, Honda, Subaru right on your heels in terms of reliability.
The dealership experience was generally positive, but Toyota’s buying experience, not so much. In the end I did walk out with a new used car and it’s all because I wanted to buy...
Read moreI highly recommend Vlad & Nurlan if you want to get the exact car of your dreams and at a favorable interest rate!
I want to say a huge thank you to Vlad, the financial manager, who helped me get my first car loan with a very low interest rate. Moreover, across all three credit bureaus, I ended up with only four hard inquiries (1, 1, and 2)! Vlad is extremely professional at what he does. He asked the necessary questions to understand my case and quickly started explaining how we would proceed. Sometimes, I asked him to repeat or go over certain points again to make sure I understood everything correctly. And today, I’ll be driving home in my brand-new car!
A massive thank you to Nurlan, the sales manager! I arrived late in the evening on Friday, December 27, with the intention of buying a brand-new 2025 Camry. At that time, there wasn’t a single brand-new Camry available at the dealership, but Nurlan assured me that we would sort it out. He began asking a lot of questions about the car (its purpose, who would be driving it, what’s important, etc.). Afterward, we did a test drive and returned to the office. He suggested several options based on my criteria. While I was deciding which car would be the best fit, the one I chose got sold. However, Nurlan, with the support of the general manager, found an even better car for me, which I ended up buying!
I’m incredibly grateful to these guys for their professional work and for helping me...
Read moreFinal Edit: 2 stars because they finally resolved my issue but it was painful throughout. I was promised an expedited service because of the inconvenience but it was fulfilled at the standard time.
First Edit: Made this a one star because of their nonexistent follow up to resolving my issues.
If you’re purchasing a vehicle you get treated properly. Anything else beyond that would be a waste of time and effort.
Was told to drive to the dealership if I needed to cancel some extended warranties. Drove 30 mins and waited an hour in lobby to speak to someone and referred to a website.
Purchasing was great but the service beyond that was terrible.
My documentation states the wrong bank that the services were financed through causing unnecessary delay and increased interest accrued due to an existing higher balance during this time. The dealership showed no interest in helping me handle this mistake on their end. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB about this poor handling of this and having no concessions offered to make up for this poor service.
I strongly do not recommend anyone make their purchase with this dealership. Their service is shady at best and once they have your money, you are a second class citizen. The financial services offered by Toyota are also equally as bad. No easy way to cancel and branches of phone numbers needed to call. I thought I would be getting better service going through a manufacturer dealership but...
