Been here for only a few hours. So far not impressed. Room is small and cramped. Staying in Heron 1. Only 1 window, no balcony. No stove only a hotplate that looks scary to me. Pull out sofa bed leaves much to be desired. We went to Walmart and bought a 2 in. memory foam mattress topper in hopes that it will be more comfy. Entry doors are extremely noisy. I will say it is clean. Hats off to housekeeping! The ice maker in freezer needs to be turned on but it is making ice! We have not ventured out to the pool yet. I was impressed with the area at the registration desk. The pool there was lovely to look at but unfortunately it is pretty far away from where we are. The condos there look much better than this one. I feel like I am staying in a college dorm instead of a condo. No schedule of activities or usual notebook with info to familiarize guests with the resort or local area was in the room either. Just disappointed. I had read reviews and thought maybe people were being picky. Nope. We will stay for a few days but this place so far has not won me over. Hope tomorrow we experience something that will make me change my mind and want to stay longer. Ok. Pools between Heron 1 and 2 are good. No towels available but we stopped in laundry area and the gave us 2. The a/c in our room makes a popping noise when it stops blowing air, weird and annoying to those sleeping on the uncomfortable couch bed. If we decide to come back to this area, we would not choose this resort. They try but need updates and repairs to the rooms. New problem 2nd morning: we woke up to tiny ants everywhere in...
Read moreThe check-in process went smoothly however, the agent at the parking permit desk was invasive. The agent issued my parking permit but not before I was forced to deposit $20.00 to sit in on a presentation. The following day my family and I lost a full day from our vacation itinerary just to sit through this presentation which took place at multiple locations. Television service was interrupted for a number of days. Parking and my air-conditioned room were a plus. ⭐⭐⭐ for the excruciating presentation experience, TV and Internet interruption during my short stay there. Rooms are fully stocked with complete kitchen. Laundry room conveniently located on the same floor. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for the help I finally received from a supervisor, I thought it best not to disclose the name however, I was pleased with the exemplary performance and how my concerns was resolved. Overall, I enjoyed my stay...
Read moreWhen they say village, they're not kidding. Unlike a large hotel complex with multiple buildings, this is a complex of complexes. So keep in mind when you're looking at the little map you get a check-in, that what looks like buildings connected by pathways are actually different groups of buildings connected by roads. As for our room, once we found it, it was quite disappointing. Based on what was advertised on their website, we were looking forward to certain amenities that were absolutely not actually there. In room bubble bath? Nope. Plain shower-tub (with an ultra water saver spray). Nice view? Nope. Parking lot and adjacent building. Unfortunately for me in have a bad back, and enjoy leaving the blinds open, so those are of above average importance to me. So while there's nothing terrible about it, overall I don't think it's worth what they charge...
