Placed my pick up order online, it said 30 minutes. I get there and they tell me they don't have my order and I sent it to the Pines location, but they can make it for me here. I pull up my email that shows it went to the Weston location. Don't you know, that's exactly when it showed up in their system!
Now I had to wait an additional ~20 minutes. Already annoying, but more so because it's only a very tight area to stand in (I'm guessing they had a few dine in tables in the past before covid, but right now it's blocked off so you can only take a step or two into the restaurant). I tried to sit on a bench outside, but mother nature had other hilarious plans so it started raining so much I was getting wet even under the overhang. So I relocated inside and stood there, making myself as small as possible while other people came in and picked up their orders.
Finally got my food, checked it, it was missing the spicy hot oil and I had to remind them I ordered a drink. No problem on those, they got them for me. But then I asked for the noodles for the wonton soup- apparently they don't have those? Not the end of the world, but they're my favorite part so it did make me kinda sad.
As far as food quality, orange chicken was okay. I wouldn't go out of my way for it again, but if my work was ordering lunch from there or something it was fine. Spouse didn't really like the dumplings, said they tasted off. I also tried the sweet and sour sauce and it was mostly ketchup tasting.
Overall between the food itself and the service/order issues I wouldn't go...
Read moreI am going to agree with one of the most recent reviews on how bad my experience was. This was not the first time we ordered from here and had good food and service in the past. But what a change. First, the food took more than an hour and we live less than a mile away. When I called after one hour they said they were busy with orders and it would be a couple of minutes. 15 min later food arrived. When I opened the bag it was not complete. They left out our fried rice. When I called she kept putting me on hold and said the cook said she did put it in our bag. I couldn't believe it! They accused me of lying about it. I wanted them to give it to me free for the hassle but I just decided to let them bring a new one and let it go. The chicken dish my husband ordered had very little chicken in it. My tofu dish in the special request section, I asked to have it extra spicy and they didn't put any spice in it. The food was hot, I will give them that and they did bring the "lost" fried rice. But I do not accept being accused of lying to get some free fried rice. The whole thing was a disaster. $40 later...I will never order again and I want all potential clients to read this because it takes a lot for me to give a bad review. Customer service is so important and there are many places I can...
Read moreI work near this place and we order from here on a regular basis. So on my day off I got a taste for chinese food and decided to drive to Rice Up. Their fried rice is Awesome!! Wow, the restaurant is not as great as it should be(a bit dirty) considering the price they charge for food. And the woman who took my ordering was a bit standoffish. When i was paying I saw the tip jar and I was thinking "hey im on the spot in front of other pople waiting for their food" so I was gonna tip her, but she wouldn't even look at me and put my cash on the counter instead of handing it to me(if you don't understand the offense behind that gesture look it up. Btw I'm black). Lastly, my name is Elaine and she wrote my name as "Alien". So when the next person brought my food out, they called me Alien. I'm never ordering from here again and will be spreading the...
