Arepas Magnet Plus — Restaurant in Weston

I placed an order for delivery of 2 Bandeja Paisas. Unfortunately, when I received the food both steaks were completely burnt and beyond hard. The rice, beans and plantines were not fresh. I called the restaurant to let them know. The first person that I spoke with was extremely rude. She was yelling and screaming at me. I was barely able to explain the situation to her. She therefore hung up the phone on me. I called back two times and no one in the restaurant picked up the phone. I was finally able to get a hold of someone. I tried explaining to the young lady that I had called before and the person who I spoke with was very rude. I asked to please speak to a manager or supervisor. She told me that she can help me. I explained to her the situation and she basically told me well I don’t know what you want me to tell you. You can stop by and get a refund. I said great thank you. Let me give you my information, I can be there shortly. She told me they were closing soon but really the restaurant is open for another 3 hours. I tried providing her my information and let her know that I can stop by tomorrow then and she hung up the phone on me.

20 minutes later I received a phone call from the owner/manager of the restaurant. I thought she was calling to apologize on behalf of her employees. Come to find out that it was the first person who I had originally spoken with over the phone that was screaming and hung up on me. She informs me that she felt insulted that I would have criticized her food. Once again I nicely tried explaining the situation to her. She started yelling and cursing at me. Telling me to never order from her restaurant again. I don’t understand how any type of restaurant can have terrible customer service. Treat their customers with such disrespect and feel the need to call them only to continue to yell at them. In conclusion they never refunded me or offered to replace my order. I have gone here a few times for the raspaditos and bakery section and that has always been great! As far as the bandeja paisa I just ordered, it was way too expensive $18. It took too long and the steak is dry and hard and as a rock. Would only recommend staying in the bakery section or getting an icee. Customer service definitely not the best. Overall I don’t care to come back. The worst part is the owner only replies to bad reviews and not the great ones! It shows the type of character and why this business is the way it is! Okay, you have been in business 21 years that’s great! Yes, you are a part of the community but you get paid to be! I've been wanting to try this place, but the hours aren't great for my boyfriend and I. So when I finally got to go there today, which we arrived at 7:40pm and their hours of operation shows that they close at 9pm. The two at the front barely spoke English and they kept trying to sell us on the display case. The guy actually touched one of the food items in the showcase with his bare hand. We asked about real food and they said that they close the kitchen at 8pm. The point of us going there was to eat food and we didn't get to try anything because they decided to close their kitchen 20 minutes early and 1 hour and 20 minutes before their actual closing time.
