We stayed here out of necessity. It will not be a hotel that we stay at again. I feel I am sincere and honest with my reviews. I don't get any type of compensation for my reviews, but I have been traveling for over 40 years.
When I say this had to be one of the worst rooms I've ever been in, I feel it's fair.
From the requiried walking through cigarette smoke at hotel front door, to the uncaring attitude of the check in guy at service desk, to the entrance door deadbolt not working (door faceplate was bent and scratched badly). The shower curtain rod anchor bolts hanging out of wall and large holes in that area. The electric sockets on bed lamps loose and not good for holding a cord. Desk chair bent and unable to even be sat in. I have no idea what was in the room safe as it was locked when we arrived and stayed that way. The paint was caked and cracked on walls.
Breakfast area was just nasty, at best. No napkins or even paper towels provided. Instead there was a box of tissues. Breakfast was dry cereal, a shared gallon of milk, shared gallon of orange juice. Regular coffee from air pot, honey buns and blueberry muffins in packages. One day it was a loaf of white bread for toast and next day very messy Belgian waffle. There was nothing in regards to protien or diabetic foods. No counters appeared cleaned during our stay, this included the dining tables.
Most of this is just obvious and can be seen/ observed (if Management wants to see it). I believe if a Major Hotel brand name were attached to my business and I was operating it, I would want to have a much better appearance and attitude.
Yes, I told desk clerk and room service of room deficiencies and explained to they that I have photos of all of these various items. I don't feel that all my photos are necessary at this time.
Just be diligent on reading reviews and not just going by hotel's (cut and paste) photos of areas from...
Read moreDO NOT STAY HERE…unless your desperate! This hotel wasn’t worth the price the travel site listed but the hotel upgraded their fees because it was a family weekend at the college. The manager was unprofessional and had a bad attitude. He was belittling his front desk employee in front of everyone in the small smelly lobby area. The employee looked defeated, embarrassed and disgusted with the manager. While waiting in the smelly lobby another customer was checking in and noticed a priced difference brought it to the owner’s attention but the owner didn’t honor the price for the room that was published through a travel site and said the site price was incorrect and the customer payment was on hold. The guy was adamant he paid in advance with the travel site and said He hoped he’s won’t be billed twice and said he will call the travel site and his bank. The owner said do whatever. When tried checking in my room it was no longer available because the reservations dates were incorrect and I showed the front desk employee and manager my confirmation email with dates but the owner seem to not care and stated he was getting paid regardless. I called the travel company and he refused to answer the phone to explain the situation. I stayed at a much better hotel a few miles from the college which worked in my family’s benefit because the hotel was really nice and...
Read moreThe hotel smelled like someone had beans cooking. The first room had a leaky toilet. They changed my room quickly. The next room sounded like I was in an airplane. The bathroom fan propeller plane and the a/c unit produced a low him the entire time it was running. The bed sounded like the frame was made of sheet metal. The room was just uncomfortable.
The hotel did NOT have a continental breakfast. There were 4 options - mini muffins (that I fear don't get rotated only replaced when eaten) and cereal (fruit loops/raisin bran.) Coffee and orange juice. I felt the cleanliness was of low quality so I didn't eat or drink any of it.
There were "gambling" machines in the lobby that randomly had out of order signs on them. I realized that the employees were playing the machines and placed the signs on the machine that they were still "working" the machines.
There wasn't a working water fountain. There was a water cooler in the fitness address but the front desk told me that hadn't worked" in a really long time". He told me I could buy water from the vending machine.
I have no proof, I didn't ask, but I feel that there were several long term tenants that paid for their room buy working...
