Stopped in last night to take our daughter out for a graduation dinner. She was excited to have the family all together the night before graduating from IUP. Service was slow from the time we sat down. Ordered 2 appetizers, waited a good 20 minutes for those and when they came out to the table, one was something we didn't even order. The Shrimp cocktail was disgusting as many of the shrimp were literally mush in the shell. We thwn waited another 20 minutes or so and 4 of the 6 meals came out to the table....1 of those 4, again, was totally wrong. They made that right, yet the other 2 meals were still not out. The 4 of us ate, while the other 2 waited another 30 plus minutes. Again, the order brought out was wrong. I then went to speak to a manager, he apologized and blamed it on the waitress being new. And offered to take some off the bill, keep in mind that we were still 2 meals short....went back to table as we watched people around us that came in after us, getting their food and we were still waiting on 2 whole meals....went to bar to talk to manager again, as he came out of the kitchen carrying 2 plates, saying our missing food was finally ready.....WRONG...the one order was missing a whole steak!! How the heck do you miss a steak? I then lost my ** and told the manager I was done, we were not waiting any longer...it was well over 2 hours waiting on getting 2 orders right. He came out with the "discounted" bill, and it was still over $100. No way, I told him i was paying nothing for the absolutely horrible night...crap service, crap food, crap tangent. In the end, I agreed to pay for the 4 alcoholic beverages, that also were mostly syrup and mixer. Any way...never again, will we step foot in that Ruby Tuesday's.....had breakfast at "Eat and Park" and it was FANTASTIC...go there, it's just...
Read moreWe use to love coming here, forawhile now it's every so often. They do have some really excellent staff here though. However the food and the wait times has been more miss than hit the last few visits. Went with my mom and sons this time for a birthday. -My mom tried the deconstructed kabobs, she said it was really good but was a really small portion placed on a already small plate. -My oldest had the chicken parm, it came out with the noodles and chicken already looking dried up, maybe 2 tbsps of sauce on, his chicken was pretty dry and hard, asked for more sauce to maybe help it, but it was just an all around terrible plate for him. -My youngest had the penne and his came out good, more pasta then he could eat and loved the icecream treat. -I had the cheese steak, been craving a good one. Was hoping for this huge loaded dripping cheese steak, it was a quiet smaller version and not as loaded ( I'd say probably half the size of an actual one). Tasted good but I ate my whole plate and was still hungry which hardly ever happens. -Skillet cookie, was awesome and everyone tore into that.
Was disappointed at the end also that they don't sing for birthdays. If we didn't love the staff so much, we probably wouldn't try to keep coming back. We've had not that much luck here the last...
Read moreSadly, this used to be my favorite restaurant. The last two visits though, have soured me to the restaurant. Last week, eating in, our baked potatoes were slathered in sour cream, despite being ordered without and the to go order we placed with our dine in order was never sent to the kitchen.
Today, I called in an order. Before ordering, gave the coupon code to the person answering the phone and asked a specific question about the order and based on the server's reply - placed my order. When I arrived to pick it up, the bill was 16% higher than what it should have been. When questioned, the manager on duty said, the coupon couldn't be used. She apologized and said there was nothing she could do. I explained that I asked specifically when I placed the order and she responded that the server should have asked her before saying yes. I could have left the food, but not a fan of wasting, paid the higher price and left. Since when can a manager not make an order right?
