Pulling up to this unforgettable get away I was hit by that vintage rustic patina and stature of the building. You can feel the history! Then you step inside, and you're embraced by astonishingly modern elegance. From custom lighting to acoustic fabric patens on the walls and the upscale but comfortable lounge. Every corner reflects a level of design that’s both timeless and fresh.
What truly makes this stay notable is the host Jordan. He isn't just a host—he’s the kind of person who has intuitively thought through every detail before you even arrive. Whether it's offering to arranging a breakfast pick up or suggesting a local best of the best restaurants. Jordan offers that rare, polished concierge-level care—warm, attentive, and personal. With him, it feels less like staying somewhere and more like being invited into a beautifully crafted experience.
This place felt like that sweet spot between nostalgia and now you feel rooted in history, yet pampered by luxury. It’s rare to find a space that honors the soul of its heritage while delivering five-star amenities worthy of a high-end boutique penthouse. From the vintage charm outside to the curated modern comforts within, it all comes together flawlessly.
I had the pleasure to preview several of the individually curated rooms and the each had its own touch of unique charm. We stayed in the GOAT with our 4 kids and it was amazing!!
Staying here wasn’t just a night away—it was a moment of pure hospitality, a diamond-in-the-rough discovery we will absolutely never stay anywhere else while visiting winter park!!
Thank you Jordan you're amazing sir!

Read morePros: -Beautifully designed. Great decor and furniture, it was cozy but modern. -Close drive to Winter Park or quick walk to the shuttle that goes to Winter Park. -Great coffee shop a 2 min walk away -Close to many restaurants, gas stations, etc. -The ‘den’ area to hangout is beautiful with a couple of tv’s (they were showing the current NFL game), and plenty of seating. -They offer food items made in house, need to order the night before for morning breakfast -Room was beautiful and roomy, even had a steam shower! -Each room has a door code instead of key cards to keep track of
Cons: -very limited parking on a very steep driveway. You will struggle if it’s snowy and don’t have 4WD.
Neutrals : -Quiet hours start at 9:30pm. Was not a factor for my stay but a little early for some. Could also be a pro depending on your style! This goes for the hot tub and common areas, quiet hours at 9:30pm. A late checkout is $100. Regular Checkout is 11am. A late checkout is 1pm. Not a huge con, but something to be mindful of as they do enforce this fee. I even had a late checkout and the code to my door timed out and we had to get let in during the allotted late checkout time. Dog friendly but only has 5 ‘dog friendly rooms’. They said they are making the switch to all rooms being dog friendly. Only those on the first floor have direct outside access. The other rooms are on floors 2-3 with no elevator, so be mindful of dog’s abilities if need to take the stairs. -The pet fee is $100 for one dog. Service animals also incur the fee and must be in...
Read moreI had a truly unique experience booking with Mr. Matt. From the warm welcome by Jordan, the manager, who definitely deserves a lot of praise. He was extremely prompt and always attentive to our needs. We stayed for 2 nights during the summer, and even though the temperature dropped to 65 degrees, a bit of a shock for my kids who are from generation Z and used to air conditioning, it became a bit of a drama for them, haha. But no worries, they provided us with fans, and it was fine. The rooms are beautifully decorated, modern yet inviting, with TV, cable, showers, and even a hot tub. The common areas are well kept, and there's a TV in each room, as well as a bar available upon request. We stayed in Elkroom and cub cave. My 7 and 13 year old never left this area. The chateau is just a 1-minute walk from the cafe, which is very popular. There are restaurants within 1 to 7 minutes all over the little town. We also drove to the Rocky Mountains and Fraser Lake, which are relatively close by. The Wonder Park Resort is right down the street. But, one of the best experiences was meeting Sir Eggroll, the cute family pup. This is an experience my kids won't forget, and it was a 10 out of 10 check the pictures. Jordan makes the best oatmeal I have ever eaten in my life. There was a nice little breakfast bar.
