So let me tell you a little bit about this place… the food was ok. Definitely NOT texas type Mexican foods but not bad either. Server seemed scattered drinks beer and michelada was point, margaritas wayyy to much sweet and sour taste like lemonade. Once we got the check….let me tell you!!! My first check I got was $250 😳 server charging me for another table not thinking…..2nd check was 131 with our foods drinks desserts then I keep going down and it shows gratuity….”ummm excuse me it says on the menu 5 people or more why are we getting charged for till already!?” Server then says-“oh after $70 it’s automatic” yet again menu don’t say anything. All in all the server definitely was all over the place the gratuity for the check definitely did not reach the percentage I was going to give her anyway cause she was not the best, what ever the case may be food- decent drinks(michi and beer on point) margaritas trash 🗑️. Asked to speak to manager about all the issues and never came out so again probably wouldn’t come back not recommend this place to anybody. What a great place to spend my birthday dinner...
Read moreMy husband and I decided to give this place a try last night. The outside patio eating was lovely. Surprising they blasted 70s dance music on the outdoor speakers which cracked me up. The patio had a big jenga and corn hole also. Seems like a good option for families. Inside the bar had two pool tables which seemed like a fun option too. I ordered the crispy chile rellenos and was surprised by the filling which was unlike any I have had. The chile was stuffed with a cream cheese and herb mix. Seemed similar to what you stuff bacon wrapped jalapeños with. Regardless, I enjoyed it. The green chile sauce that covered it was good also. My husband got the steak chimichanga which was huge - long and flatter than what we’ve had before also, but he loved it. We ordered the jalapeño margaritas which were good although could have used an additional shot of tequila (but that’s my usual opinion at most places). The margaritas were really expensive that surprised me. $15-20 each, so we limited to trying just one. The server was friendly and attentive. Enjoyed the food and atmosphere. I...
Read moreDon Danny’s is a newly opened restaurant in Winter Park, Colorado. The few reviews we read were positive so we thought we’d give it a try on Mother’s Day. Unfortunately, for us, the experience was a total bust. They don’t have their liquor license yet - it’s pending, there is no ambience but several TVs, the lights are really bright, the food is over priced for the poor quality - especially given the over size portions of lettuce, bland rice, and tasteless refried beans served with every plate. My husband ordered a shredded beef burrito that was served cold on the inside with no more than a quarter cup of shredded beef and packed with an additional over-abundance of bland rice and tasteless refried beans to add to the huge plate already over flowing with the same rice and beans. The restaurant’s saving grace is that it is very clean and our waitress...
