We went to the July 4th festivities with The Fabulous Thunderbirds and the DJ Gen G. We always have fun as a family and have been coming up here for over 30 years. I met my wife in Winter Park and we have 4 boys. Super disappointed with what happened this year. The commercialization of everything was perplexing to say the least. They had a VIP section for the “real estate” company which we joked about. There was ZERO and I mean 0.00 mention of Independence Day. Last year was awesome and we sang songs and celebrated July 4th. This year was bizarre. It was like we landed in another country. The owners of “the real estate company” got up and introduced the Fabulous Thunderbirds. They were good if it was the 50’s or the 60’s but frankly just out of touch. Gen G was cool and the boys danced and had fun. People left wondering, “aren’t we going to celebrate Indpendance Day?” What a shame. I mean we commercialized the heck out of this thing and thanked the Real Estste company about 100 times but not one mention of what we were actually here for in the first place. Shame on the organizers and all the people responsible for this faux pas. Please don’t let this...

I'm not sure how I feel about this place. I walked over in the evening. It was really cold. There were a bunch of kids running around well after dark. I saw a public restroom and went in to use it. When I came out, there were razors and helmets all over the place. I heard kids by the amphitheater, so I grabbed one of the razors and brought it over to where they were. One of the kids yelled over at me to tell me it was theirs. I said, "I know" and parked it in the racks by the folding chairs. Then, I went back to the same place and picked up the helmet, and put it on the table. There were no adults to be found, so I walked back to my hotel in the freezing cold. Considering all of the dangers around this area, it seemed quite strange that a bunch of 7 year olds were running freely through throughout the amphitheater. I'm glad that they were together, but in line with other comments, they were acting like they owned the place. Call me crazy but aren't most 7 year olds back home with their parents at 10p; either asleep or playing board games. Hopefully, I'll be able to check it out during the day...

Attended the Blues Festival summer of 2021. Kenny Wayne Shepherd headlined but the bands were saw were all great. Small venue with great acoustics. Lawn chairs were provided and a separate VIP area was cordoned off. Plenty of trash receptacles and food vendors. Plan to attend again next summer. Update Blues Festival 2022 Sue Foley and Larkin Poe played Saturday, excellent. I hadn't heard Larkin Poe before, younger band out of Atlanta, mostly Americana and Southern Blues rock. Sue Foley played mostly her newer electric blues. Changed the VIP area to the left of stage otherwise same as last year. I honestly don't see any big advantage to the VIP extra cost, really no better seating. This was the 20th Annual Festival, we'll be...

I've been coming to Winter Park for nearly 30 years, and I am pleased to see such a venue in down town. It is very conveniently located, and large enough to hold a decent size crowd. I was just there for the WP Beer Festival, and it was perfect. Not too crowded, but enough to give it that "festival" feel. The only issue I have, is that we struggled to find parking. If there was an off-site parking option with a shuttle, I was not aware of it. So keep that in mind if you are attending an event here. Otherwise, great
