Vasquez Creek Inn — Hotel in Winter Park

You had me at Lavazza Coffee in the room, pretty cups, great bedding, and a super view and rippling water sounds of Vasquez Creek through the window. The Inn s in the style of European inns with a coffee breakfast bar and dining Cafe on the bottom and all the rooms upstairs. Although a bit aged it has been tastefully redone in a european-style. The bedding is truly amazing. Please note there is no air conditioning but there was plenty of cool air coming through the window in this mountain town. We didn't get to use the hot tub that sits next to the creek but I think that would be quite romantic. We received vouchers for breakfast in the cafe and had a beautiful croissant French toast and freshly made breakfast sandwich. If you need a fancy resort with high amenities there are other options but if you want charming, tasteful, well-appointed and quiet accommodations this is perfect. The price was reasonable as well. The location is right across from the Chamber of Commerce so you can walk across the street for information. There is not an elevator so please be noticed of that. This is a great place for a romantic weekend Downtown Winter Park especially if you are tired of other guests coming down to breakfast in their pajamas...

I used to travel for a living. Averaged 230 days per year on the road. When you stay at a motel or inn you expect motel or inn quality. I walked in my room and literally said wow! The structure is a bit dated, but not a flaw. Everything is maintained as it should be. Cleanliness of my room (211) is like nothing I've ever experienced and I've stayed in some of the nicest hotels in the world. It's a standard room but it is CLEAN. Those of us who travel or have travelled extensively value cleanliness above all. I haven't stayed here in the past because it was an "Inn". However, this little inn has a bar and restaurant on site, and it is superbly clean. The only negative is the parking lot is not big enough for all three. However, the night manager moved his car so I could park. Kudos to the night guy. Can't say anything negative about this little place. The location was great, right downtown! The room was cozy, quiet, and cute! The bed was super comfortable! They provided us with $10 coupons for breakfast at the cafe next store, which was delicious. My only complaint is that I called and asked if I could check in early, and a worker told me that my room was ready and I could come anytime. When I arrived, the lady at the front desk reported that the room was not ready. She was unkind and unprofessional and did not seem to be concerned that somebody else had given me inaccurate information. She told me that she would get my room ready by 2:00 p.m. However, when I called at that time the room was still not ready. I understand that check-in was not until 4:00 p.m., which is fine, I just wish that I wasn't told that I could check in early because then I changed my plans to...
