The Sweet Life Candy Store — Local services in Winter Park

I bought some salt water taffy here on July 22, 2025, while visiting the area. Unfortunatley, it was so hard I couldn't even chew it. I was genuinely worried it might crack a tooth, so I ended up throwing it away. Really disappointing, especially since I was looking forward to enjoying a treat.

Edit to add: I also bought two packs of Black Jack Chewing Gum. It crumbled then wasn't chewable. The code on the package was 23045MA, which is a Julian date of Feb 14, 2023. The second pack is 21247MA which is September 4, 2021.

This is OLD OLD OLD product that is being sold, so can't blame it on...

I usually love this place, but this is the second time in a row that I have purchased candy and come home to bite into a candy that is supposed to be soft and fresh, and it is stale and hard like it has been sitting there for a year - both tootsie rolls and vanilla caramel cream were stale... tootsie rolls not even edible 😔 Update: quick response from owner - hate to give bad reviews - store is great if candy is fresh, so putting back to 5 star. A refund was offered and would be great - but more importantly - get that...

What a ‘sweet’ little place to sit and have a drink and reminisce on all of your favorite candies from childhood. The service is lovely and they’ve made great use of the space, creating a relaxing environment to pass some time with friends and family or...
