York Beach Residence Club — Hotel in York

Never again. Booked this through time share. Was told 2 weeks before we were due in that they were renovating and couldn't accommodate us, after everything was paid for. They couldn't find us another place, so they ended up upgrading us, which was nice. Our stay was nice and the staff seemed friendly, until we had to get a bed changed. House keeping seemed rather put out. Then we had issues with their flooding laundry room and were made to feel that it was some how our fault. The manager made sure to mention that she had gone out of her way to get us in, after all. Poor customer service. The place is nice, but it's a dime a dozen. Not very accommodating and not worth the experience in my opinion. **Update: This place tried charging us $75 for a duvet/comforter cleaning because one of our kids had an accident overnight. They said it was a biohazard cleaning charge. Apparently they don't normally do this. Beware of what you're sleeping on folks. I recommend a cleaner place...

Very nice rooms. Views are nice but obstructed. Deluxe Electronic fireplace gave a cozy atmosphere and reasonable facsimile of a real fireplace... Without the mess. Clean, well maintained (practically new on all accounts). Has a full kitchen... But no food or spices excepting salt and pepper which is as expected from a hotel/resort. Closest grocery is in town just a 15 minute drive.

The amenities (pool,Jacuzzi and exercise room) are lacking in their function, capabilities and size. This is perhaps less important during summer season but in the off season their deficiencies are a bit disappointing.

Absolutely LOVE this place! The suites are extremely clean and updated, staff are attentive, friendly, and very helpful with everything. There is an onsite gym, a heated pool, and a hot tub on the first floor. The building is right across from Short Sands Beach and conveniently located near everything (boutique/souvenir stores, coffee shops, restaurants, bars, brewery, bowling alley/arcade, zoo/amusement park, and more!). Totally enjoyed the stay each time I’m up here and will certainly return to this place more often! Great job YBRC and thank you...
