Must better service today. Upgrading to 4 stars because the food is good. Wish they’d do something about the flies. Recommend the Irish Eggs Benedict.

You can read the original review below and it would be almost exactly the same as this visit. Same older lady running around like a chicken with her head cut off, probably the same flies from my last visit plus they brought their friends with them. Took forever to get my coffee after ordering. I got the attention of a different passing waitress (I perceived her to be the owner), she called out to the other servers to see who had my table and the headless-chicken-woman then got my coffee. The owner (or woman I perceived to be in charge) called a timeout and quickly asked the staff to take care of their tables. My server apologized for the slow service saying they were short staffed. There are only 11 tables inside and a few outside. Only 5-6 tables were seated and they had 7 staff including 2 cooks.
The food was good and hot but still a bit overpriced like most everyplace.
I haven't been to Molly O's in many years because Goldenrod has been my go-to breakfast place. Decided to try it again because Goldenrod doesn't open until 11am (apparently staffing issue related to COVID-19) and I didn't want to wait until 11am for breakfast.
I walked in about 7:40am on a Sunday morning. There are about 11 tables inside (also several outside) and a bar/counter service area. Only about 3 tables were seated. No one greeted me and I didn't see a sign saying "please wait to be seated". There was an older waitress running around like a chicken with her head cut off who I finally asked if I could sit anywhere I like. She told me I could. It took about 5 minutes before the same woman asked if I wanted coffee. For some reason she assumed I was waiting on others to join me. She brought my coffee with a spoon already in it (this is a big pet pieve of mine since I drink my coffee black). Yeah I know I'm being picky as this isn't a white table cloth kind of place. The same waitress still seems frantic despite the place being not busy and 3 other waitress smoothly taking care of a few other diners.
The coffee was very good and hot. I ordered the 3 egg omelette adding peppers, onions and bacon. I also ordered the hand made corned beef hash because others had written great reviews about it. While I waited on my food flies kept landing on me which was very annoying and kind of grossed me out. This is because the front door to the restaurant stands open with no screen door to keep them out.
A different waitress brought my food and offered to refill my coffee. I tried the corned beef hash first because it was obvious it was homemade and definitely not from a can like most places. It was awesome but a fairly small portion considering the $7 side order price. The omelette was good and the home fries that came with it we're okay (could have used a little seasoning).
My breakfast was over $20 which seems very expensive. $3 coffee, $7 side and .0.75 for each omelette extras and you can see how it got to $20 easily.
Overall the service was slow but the food was pretty good. The hash was exceptional! If it weren't for the filthy flies I would have felt like the...
Read moreREAD THIS REVIEW FIRST: THERE IS A HUGE CHANGE TO MOLLYO'S THAT YOU MUST BE INFORMED ABOUT. Mollyo's was once the best breakfast place I have ever been to, they have been running for over 25 years now and it's been fantastic (hence all the 5-star reviews). However, starting at the beginning of summer 2018, the previous owner was no longer able to keep mollyo's running. It wasn't because of financial issues, but because it was too much work in combination with another one of the owner's activites and they had to pick one over the other. So they sold the restaurant to someone else who redesigned the building with new management, new employees, and new recipes. All was changed except the name, because the name wasn't changed, it was still classified as the same restaurant as before so it kept many of the 5-star reviews from when the place was different. And let me tell you, the redesign sucks, there is incredibly slow service even when no one else is there, and the food is overpriced and tastes terrible. The old Mollyo's was mostly family run and was more humble with much more attention, since the redesign, everything has gone downhill. So here's my message to you: If you see ANY review that was posted before Summer of 2018, ignore it because it belonged to the old Mollyo's. I believe that google should remove all of the old reviews because the place is entirely different than it used to be and deserves reviews of what it is now rather than being promoted by many old 5-star reviews that don't truly belong to it anymore. So Google, PLEASE remove all of the old reviews because it doesn't truly define the current Mollyo's. And viewers, please take my advice and don't listen to the old reviews because they DON'T apply to the new restaurant. If you have reached the end of this review, thank you for taking your time to listen to what is now the real description of Mollyo's and I hope you make a wise decision and don't listen to the old 5-star reviews, go by the current ones, and make the right...

Well, a couple of days after my great review, I see from my Bank statement that Molly-O's charged me twice (once for my meal $34.70 and again $77.21 for another table's meal). I called and reported it and she told me to go through my bank to correct it because it would take time through her "processor". I waited a couple of days for her "processor"and reported it to my Bank and my Bank credit me back the money. She called several days later asking me if I saw the money go through from her processor. My Bank credit my account the day I put the complaint in. I just don't appreciate Molly-O's not crediting my account once they were aware of the mistake. Not everyone has an extra $80.00 sitting in their account to cover errors and what if I didn't discover the error. Just check your Bank account when you eat at Molly-O's or pay Cash. We are not judging food quality but service because I remembered I had to ask the waitress for the return of my Credit card, she was just standing around talking to someone and we finally requested it back. I guess that...
