If I could give zero stars I absolutely would. Do not rent if traveling alone, especially as a woman. Single female traveling for work. Paid for 12 days to use it as a base between jobs. To come and go as I please for almost 2 weeks. Didn't mind that the first morning there were homeless camped outside when I went to my car. Didn't mind the clear sign of dirt on the walls and doors. Didn't mind that I counted 8 cats roaming the parking lot. The touch and go air conditioning was not even enough to make me close to needing to leave. I'd barely be there. In between days off I go to enter my room and there is a note on my door "Please go to front desk, thank you - management". I am very confused and go to the front desk. Mind you it's 9 pm and I am alone and creeped out, hoping they didn't pack my room up thinking I had abandoned the place. (I had forgotten my key so while I was confused I had to go to the front desk anyway.) I drive to the front and the front desk clerk tells me that there is an issue with my room and they need to move me. I ask why. She says she doesn't know, there's just an issue with my room. I now need to move rooms in the morning by checkout time. I ask if something is wrong because I don't want to sleep in a room if there are issues I need to worry about, she says she has no idea but that she went into my room to check if it is ok and there are no problems, it is safe. More confused, because if there's none, why am I needing to move on a day I was hoping to have off from work? She says that I'm not in trouble, but that note has been on my door for two days... ok? I prepaid. Repeating I'm not in trouble but that I need to move, she makes me a key and I walk back out to my car. As I'm sitting right in front of the window, I watch the front desk clerk send a text, and then an immediate phone call to someone. This is creepy to say the least. Again, I am alone and traveling. I return to my room and make my way inside, and nothing seems to have been touched. That includes the bed, the used towels, nothing. Now I had taken the trash out myself before I left, and I'm generally pretty clean, but it felt weird thinking the front desk went through my room, cleaning nothing (it is the 9th day of my 12 days and nothing had been cleaned once) including the bed not being made. Now I am freaked out to say the least. My room having some underlying problem, someone in my room, someone possibly being called to notify management of my arrival. Who knows, all just uncomfortable. I am typing this about 20 min after speaking with the front desk. I will update tomorrow after I speak with management, but this whole experience has been uncomfortable to say the least and I'm unsure if I'll be able to sleep comfortably. I have attached photos of the room/how I left it and how clean I am, to show there was no reason to move me, I also would like to say, aside from the bad paint and air conditioning, there's nothing wrong with the room itself. Would also like to add, that that there is no input on the tv remote, so you are stuck with basic cable, I brought my Google home to use, but couldn't. Again, not enough to leave, just another annoying tidbit.

I'll start off by saying that my (interesting) experience here was met with 100% the nicest hotel staff I have ever met. The gal that checked me in was cognizant of children that might be noisy and put me in the quietest corner of the motel. The gal that I checked out with was extremely polite and prompt. Second I'd say the water pressure in the shower was a God-sent scalp massage. The rest was both gross and interesting. I ALWAYS inspect rooms for bed bugs before bringing anything in. This inspection includes me lifting the mattress and sheets and inspecting for signs as well as bugs. I'll note that no signs of bugs were present. Ok great. But. There WERE potato chips? Crumbs? Who knows what underneath the mattress and also under the fitted sheet. There were also gritty bits in between the top sheet and the blanket. But they were obviously clean sheets. There was gum? That had been washed/dried into the comforter. (Pictured). So I tossed that aside and didnt even use it. It didn't appear they actually swept the floor or cleaned the bathroom. The shower floor was slimy and there was a lot of paper-type trash on the floor. There was also some sort of black residue on the ADA handle that wiped off easily with a damp towel (i was curious). As well as in the great room, which felt gross under bare feet so I only walked around with my shoes on. The towels were all clean though. That's all housekeeping. The weird part was about midnight (my light was still on) I hear a light knocking on the door. Being a solo traveling female I ignored it, trusting the heavy deadbolt that had been secured. After some time I hear the same knocking on the room next to mine. So I sneak over to the window and peer through the gap to see a uniformed female standing on the walk. The knock came back, so this time knowing the caller was female, asked who it was. She identified herself as Housekeeping/front desk. I opened the door, and she asks if I heard any sounds from nextdoor. I say no, she apologizes and said she thought I was one of their regular guests, thanks me and walks away. Even weirder was she was holding a wooden dowel of sorts in her hand. Also the venting blew cigarette and marijuana smoke heavily into the room from somewhere outside (I smoke neither). So overrall, weird experience. I didnt get rest as I felt gross in the room, and the odd experience sent my mind wandering with scenarios that might require hotel staff to carry a club. I have never had this type of experience in a Motel 6.

Don't let the four stars fool you, as I am judging strictly from a price point. Let this party begin.... At check-in, the night manager was the most patient and sweetest woman you could ever meet. There was a guy complaining and cussing about some trivial blanket situation, yet she handled it like a true professional, and handed him an envelope of warmth, and even he left happy The first thing I noticed upon entering my room was that this place was clean, and I mean like really clean, a level of clean I have never seen in my 44 years of walking this planet. Just for kicks, I had to check the air filter. Not one speck of anything on it, it was clean, and I could literally see the other side of it. Generally, at this price, you would expect to find it nearly clogged with skin cells and enough DNA from hundreds or even thousands of people, where if you were to stat a new colony of humans, you'd have enough genetic diversity to not have to worry about inbreeding. Seriously clean, folks. Next I found the bed. It was, might I call it, firm? I would compare its firmness to something out of this world, only rivaling that of an ambulance spine board or stainless steel operating table. I can never forget that box spring underneath, either. It played a cacaphony of various tunes all night that reminded me of my uncle's backwoods band in Alabama, where he was a champion jug player, backed up by the washboard, spoons, and of course, the spring. This morning, I got to place myself in the most powerful shower I have been in, outside of the Navy's finest decontamination stations where they blast off chemical agents. It provided a clean so deep, I don't expect any breakouts for at least another six weeks. Overall, I will find myself staying here once again.

This was a terrible experience for me and I would imagine would be for anyone looking to do honest business. I paid for a reservation for a couple days through the app. I had left note that there would be two of us and my service dog. Seems fair to think checking in would be a normal experience - I was wrong. The Caucasian guy at the counter to whom was actually doing his job with me was very pleasant and, I could tell even he was appalled by his co-workers combative and extremely aggressive approach to creating an issue, lacking critical thinking skills and basic customer service training to which was the most unprofessional and vial situation I have encountered in a long time in an environment one would expect common human decency and respect. As a resident of the state of Maryland I have never rented from this location and or any motel 6 before. Upon entering the office and focusing on checking in with the kind Caucasian guy doing a normal and pleasant job with me, a coworker aggressively and rudely halts the process claiming that myself and my partner were banned from doing business at the location, claiming that (in clear mistake of identity) that we were banned from the property. I have never had such an extremely aggressive and disgruntled unprofessional person be so determined to clutch to conflict and a lack of compassion for not only their job but human respect. Despite my college educated business communication skills in conflict resolution, this employee was determined to call shots in an aggressive and combative nature so as to disappoint and write off, honest business from good paying customers to which booked an honest situation and to whom paid in advance. He refused to find solution and resolution, claiming that he would get in trouble again with his manager if he faulted on identification policy. I had to jump through hoops to suggest resolution as if, I should be working for the company, such as... What means would classify as an appropriate identification towards policy, and this was simply to defend my guests integrity that infact me nor himself were not on any 86 list because the employee that wasn't doing direct business with me, aggressively chimed in calling shots over a mistake and misunderstanding that he created. He could have continued to grotesquely eat his tacos all over the front reception area minding his i-work-too-hard-break because if he thought for one second my tattoos on my face meant that I was uneducated or not a somebody he truly misunderstands some basic logistic and critical thinking skills. I am a sought after competitive professional traveling tattoo artist that is well respected in my industry. I come from an elite family that works for the government and is involved politically. To have aggressively mistaken my identity and lack professional care or compassion to look further into a problem to which he created makes me suggest such an individual be terminated from such a job, and permanently exiled from customer service. Hire people with an education or at least a heart. I will never do business with any motel 6 based off my experience with your aggressively rude uncompassionate and unprofessional employee that can take a nice person like me and flip me out in wanting to hit a guy with a frying pan. Not my character, not my identity and definitely not the motel me or my people's cash will ever support. Try the Jefferson instead, they have true professionalism and...
