Econo Lodge Zanesville Downtown — Hotel in Zanesville

I left a $100 deposit because i didn't have a credit card on file and when i checked out at 5:45am in order to be at work, in Springfield, at 8:00am they person working the front desk was unable to produce my $100 deposit. Told me that I would have to come back at 1pm later that day and talk to the owner. Well, i had to work from 8am to 3pm and also it would have costed me another $30 to $40 in gas to do so. I figured it was best to just cut my losses. So, not only did a single room with 1 bed cost me $92, i lost my $100 deposit. Also, when i first arrived i wasn't aware that I wasn't at the motel that my "friend" made the reservation at. The woman behind the desk lied to me and said that she had spoken to my "friend" and that I was at the right place. My "friend " actually reserved a room at the Villager Inn and it was only $67. The woman "hustled" me but i didn't find this out until my "friend" showed up almost an hour later. The night was full of lies, dishonesty and poor judgement. I spent $40 in gas and $192 for a room that didn't have power at one point for almost an hour. I also had to give my "friend" $15 for gas so she could get home to Barnsville. The poor judgement was on me. I was trying to rekindle an old flame with my "friend" and got hustled and played by everyone that night. This took place several weeks ago and have yet to talk to my "friend". That Econo Lodge should be reported to the better business bureau and my "friend", initials J.R.C. aka "The Dark Aries" should be ashamed...

If I could have gave review of negative 100 I would've the first room we was booked in was room 246 we found bedbugs 3 of them. They moved us to room 251 & wouldn't you guess BEDBUGS also I told them if one room has the most likely the whole hotel has them. Needless to say we was out of there to a nicer hotel. We had to return the next morning to get refund check yes I said check even though we paid cash & it is holiday weekend n we are from out of state. Very disappointed!!!! Be Ware check your rooms or you will bring bedbugs home with you. I'm also going to contact choice hotels corporate office about this matter the manager Lynn act like we were lying even though we had pictures and the girl in the office seen them she was very helpful considering she wasn't manager. I felt so bad for her having to deal with this hotels issues this all happened @ 3am then she was there again before 12pm seems like they were short on help. She was extremely helpful & curious. I rate her + 100 if I could. Thank you young lady for all your help. We appreciate your help. I'm sure you don't hear that often enough with all the stuff that's put on you. P. I would love to tell everyone about this hotel if I was able to but I can't since I was not able to stay the night or should I say chose not to stay. When we pulled up at night the lady at the front desk came storming out before I was able to even park. (Mind you I was kind enough to come check in at 4pm that day knowing I would be coming in late). Anyway she rudely started yelling and demanding to know my name and I said I already checked in and I showed her my key card and said we were going to our room. She then kept asking my name and I told her my name and room number and she started screaming about how I couldn't have 4 people in my room and it was too many. By the way I bought a room with two double beds that said it fits up to 4 people. So I kept walking and she kept following me and screaming telling me I couldn't go in my room and she was calling the police so I said ok and told her I would wait outside. She went in and called the police and they came about one hour later because they were busy with actual crimes. Finally the cops come and laugh in her face because it was all so ridiculous and when they told her there was nothing they could do she decided to make up stories we came in recklessly driving and that we have been "crazy". Then 15 mins later tries to apologize and says we can stay but after about 2 hours of waiting and being tired we all realized had to be up early so instead we drove an hour home. WORST...
