As a family of 5, we frequent several suite accommodations to get the extra beds including many other Holiday Inn Expresses. I was blown away by the level of service from everyone.| We had planned a last minute trip and booked a room online. Everything went through, but I got a call about 10 minutes later letting me know that unfortunately the room I had booked was unavailable. The very polite woman I spoke with got us a different room that would work and already had the rollaway bed set up before we even got there. The room was very, very clean (mattresses even have protective covers- very rare!) and had every amenity kit you could need including disinfecting wipes if you still weren’t sure. Also special shoutout for the in-room Keurig selection which also included tea!|Upon checking in, I was recognized as being a Silver Elite and offered late checkout. We decided to take advantage of this and it was definitely worth it! We used the extra time to enjoy the fitness room and pool/spa all to ourselves. Both facilities were clean and well maintained. My absolutely only suggestion would be a water cooler for the fitness room. |The breakfast was extensive. One of our family’s favorite parts of Holiday Inn Express is the pancake machine and cinnamon rolls at breakfast. Not only did the breakfast include these staples, but a complete array of so many other choices. There was everything from the usual cereal, oatmeal, eggs, sausage, fruit, and biscuits to things I wouldn’t expect: Uncrustables, pumpkin cake, pop tarts (kids were thrilled!), selection of cookies/crackers, and strawberry milk! |I would like to recognize the work of the solo woman running breakfast. She went above and beyond. While sitting close to the buffet, I happened to over hear a family asking about a certain dish contained pork as the family couldn’t have that. I watched as during this busy Sunday morning, she went out of her way to ingredient read and make this family their own food to accommodate. The kindness was noticed by both myself and my preteen son.|During checkout, I was apologized to for a slight disruption with our key cards (they are set to expire at 11 and had to be reset for our late checkout). This was an extremely minor inconvenience and absolutely not a problem. It was handled quickly and without issue.|Thank you Holiday Inn Express Zanesville for your superior customer service for our entire stay. From a teacher and mom, you get the...
Read moreI stayed at this hotel on Mother's Day 2014, and I was so impressed that I booked a room for Christmas Eve & Day 2014. They offered active military & vets a free one night stay on either of those nights. As a veteran, I couldn't pass up that deal. I stayed in room #204 this time (2 queen bed). My stay those 2 days were just as wonderful as it was the last time I stayed there. Everything was perfect, absolutely perfect. I arrived in Zanesville early on Christmas Eve and they allowed me to check in a couple hours early. Every single staff member that I spoke to, or just passed in the hallway was friendly and helpful. That pool & hot tub was awesome & I used it many times during those two days. There's coffee, tea, hot choc, oatmeal, & fresh fruit for the guest 24/7. I could go on and on, but to condense this review, here's the other things that I find awesome about this hotel: super clean room/hotel, comfy bed with 4 fluffy pillows, high speed internet, large tv, a microwave, frig, coffee pot, ironing board & iron, blow drawer, a beautiful, inviting gas fireplace in the dining room/lounge area, the location to I-70 & to many restaurants was very convenient for me , there was a large variety of breakfast items, and the parking lot was well lit. I guess that pretty much sums up my review for this beautiful hotel. Oh, one more thing, as I was on my way home I remembered that I had left my swim suit hanging in the shower. I called the hotel about it and they offered to send it back to me, which saved me an hour drive. The swimsuit arrived in the mail just a few days later, and I noticed that the postage cost them over $4.00. How awesome is that of them! :) When I travel to the Zanesville area again, I will most...
Read moreWe had stayed here last year loved the hotel room so we decided to stay here again this year adding an extra room for my wife’s grandmother ( the reason for visiting) thought I was getting same
room size as last time but I must have booked an executive suite last visit so room was smaller than expected and my babies freaked out every time in elevator. The staff was friendly and helpful the food was satisfying the pillows were nice bed was firmer then I like but ok. Televisions are so inexpensive now was shocked to have such a
small tv for a suite. So now for complaints the bathroom door would not stay closed door didn’t line up right told front desk but service guy had already left saw him next morning told him about it he said
nobody said nothing about it to him but he immediately came up to fix and finally to the worst thing. The first night after driving seven hours with an infant a toddler and 9 and 7 year old and finally getting settled
after food and baths all I wanted was a good night rest another guests car alarm starts going off I figured maybe someone hit it by accident this went on for hours and hours finally at 230 am I can’t take it
anymore I call front desk and say they need to tow the vehicle I needed sleep she said police said they were not allowed my small children woke up screaming I got no sleep was a nightmare staff said
next day multiple guests came down to complain and also called down complaining the alarm she said was a guests car alarm due to their car battery she said the guest thought it was funny was actually laughing. After that experience I thought this room was expensive maybe they will offer discount or something for next...
