Registan Hostel — Hotel in Samarkand City

Very good location and a very nice and helpful staff. When I arrived, I was immediately welcomed by the staff. she was very helpful and is more than willing to go out of her way to help me.

Plus points since they can provide you with towels if you don’t have one. The bed has curtains so you can close it off for privacy, and you have a locker where you can put your valuables in. They also have a kitchen, and a shared and spacious shower area.

Location is very good since it is only a few minutes walk from the Registan Square and other landmarks in Samarkand. There are plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. They also allowed me to stay in the common dining area after I already checked out. Overall a very good value for money. Will definitely come back here if ever I visit...

The location is great Everything else was a disaster. The common area is clean but the room was dirty and smelly. The people staying in the room were throwing socks and lingerie on the floors which was an awful sight. I booked a room with 4 beds for the 2 of us, but they put us in a room with 6 beds, without even saying anything (why did I even paid more)! Some of the staff don't understand basic English so they would not be able to help you. Furthermore, My iPhone 14 Pro was stolen by a fellow guest when I stayed here, so pay a lot of attention to your belongings! In the end, the police identified the thief (a German guest) and got back the phone, but the staff was not as helpful as I would have liked in this...

The location of the hotels is great, very close to Registan square and easy to find. The rooms had a weird smell. One of our beds was not even clean when we arrived there in the evening, way past the checkin time. The booking we did was for 2 beds in a 4 beds rooms but they put us in a 6 beds rooms. The internet was not working in the room, only in the common area. The shower in the women bathroom was not quite clean. The entire place was pretty crowded and narrow.

The staff working there - not all of them speak (at least basic) English so it can be hard to talk to them.
