I visited Tashkent in mid-March and chose the City Centre Hotel because of its convenient location. My trip was for both work and pleasure and the City Centre Hotel proved to be the perfect place to conduct all of my affairs, with the added plus that it offered excellent value for money.
The hotel staff was very attentive to my needs (and, admittedly, as an elderly semi-retired person, I can sometimes be a bit demanding). Again, I found myself totally satisfied. The hotel arranged to purchase and have delivered some special biking items that I wanted to take back to Moscow with me (I could no longer find them in the stores there). The staff arranged everything without any hassles, just like clockwork. The daytime receptionist, Zafar, was particularly helpful, with advice and tips about what to see and do in Tashkent.
Everyone was extremely courteous and polite: even the cleaning staff was accommodating. I was amazed at how everything was organized to focus on the guests and this made me feel very much at home.
My only disappointment in Tashkent was the weather: I had expected warm, sunny days in the middle of March, but instead encountered abnormal rain (and even snow) throughout my entire stay. Even here, however, the hotel staff helped me enjoy my visit and optimize the time I had at my disposal.
I’m looking forward to returning to the City Centre Hotel in the near future, this time under more favorable...
Read moreWanted to like this place - location was good, staff were nice and friendly, rooms were clean, breakfast was good - but when a hotel fails to provide some key basic things, Im sorry it cancels out all the positives….||||There was no water in the room for some hours one day… and then again next day. The reception said the whole city didnt have water - well, outside the sprinklers were running and the breakfast room in the hotel was washing dishes, so the reception wasnt telling the truth. No water meant we couldnt flush the toilet when we checked out…||||There was construction going on for HOURS also one day and then the next day. It was happening in the lower floors of the building, and the structural vibrations were so intense, even ear-plugs didnt help.||||Maybe the construction was out of their control, and maybe even the water they couldnt fix, but Im sorry, the room was also not that cheap, it’s certainly not the guest’s problem to put up with those thjngs…. And there was no offer of any kind of compensation - we paid the same amount as a guest who had water the entire stay and didnt have to deal with construction noise - this isnt fair.||||So Im sorry, I have to give...
Read moreThe hotel is located in a nice neighborhood with lots of good restaurants, a lovely park and walkable distance to major attractions (take it with a grain of salt since we tend to walk alottt). We stayed here for two nights and loved everything about it.
We arrived very early, and the night manager was very polite and helpful. He let us store our luggage in the storage. Later, we were allowed to check in little earlier, which was highly appreciated. Thank you to both the managers who were very professional and helpful.
The room had all the amneties and was very clean. The matresses were soft and the pillows very fluffy.
We were also pleasantly suprised with the variety in the breakfast spread and the its quality for a minimal fee of $5/-. The coffee was excellent and the lady who was hosting the bfast was polite and very friendly.
The only downside was the construction noise from a neighboring building that kept us up the second night. Ofcourse, this has nothing to do with the hotel and its out of their control.
We are definitely rebooking this place if we ever find ourselves in this city again. Unfortunately, we forgot to...
