The Bar Speak Easy — Restaurant in Tashkent

Overall bar has potential but service really needs to improve. We were told the bar was closed even though on Google it was open. Told we can only get a glass of scotch (because no ice - go figure), while there was an entire bar to work with. I was told I was difficult for wanting something different than just a glass of scotch, this is especially funny as it came from a very inexperienced bartender. Either way they charged us $10 for olives that we asked for our shots and charged us extra to mix a shot glass size drink due to not having ice. No effort to make up for this or at least give us a break on cost since we were limited. The whole experience felt like they just wanted to soak as much money from us than anything else. Bar Speak Easy does indeed have the atmosphere it promises, it is more of a proper cocktail bar than its neighbor maqom (a restaurant), But the drinks are infinitely better there. I absolutely loved this place—everything you could hope for in a speakeasy. The bartender was not only friendly but also a highly skilled mixologist and a fantastic listener.
