I read great reviews here and now realise that they are all fake. ||If you are a family with kids, stay away. We reached at around 11pm. Check in was quick and then the ordeal started. Mattress on the bed had wires popping out dangerously and I even got hurt. The linen was not fresh and smelt of sweat. At 12 midnight, we were told that we were free to change the hotel and find a new one as they could do nothing about this issue. With sleepy kids, finding a new hotel midnight wasn't possible, so we decided to stay for the night. Next morning we discovered that the water pressure in taps and shower was painfully slow. Took us each 35 minutes to finish taking a bath. The shower hung dangerously over the head, ready to fall any moment. The hair dryer was not working. No electric kettle in the room to heat water. ||Breakfast served was cold boiled eggs, stale bread with butter, tiny bowl of oats, cold pumpkin puff pastry...no second serves of anything available. When we asked for fried eggs instead of cold boiled eggs, the lady just refused while we saw all other guests being served freshly prepared egg fries. To just gulp down this food, we asked for milk , and were told that what ever is available is there on the table. Basically no personal touch or humane approach to guests with kids. ||Wifi didn't work till about 10am which could be a technical problem. ||Then while my husband went to find another hotel, these guys came atleast 7 times to ask within an hour if we were going to stay and when we would leave. ||The only good thing was one young girl who recommended another hotel close by and even offered to call the hotel for bookings.||Overall, not hospitable, not clean, not comfortable, unprofessional guesthouse. It is one of the best hostels relative to the price in the city, the top two being Art and Anvar's hostels which are generally slightly more expensive. This place is good, the staff are charismatic and helpful and the place is secure. There were also tourists but it was mainly Chinese guests and older non-tourist residents. The bathroom though cleaned well and frequently is so tiny, and the toilets are the tiniest toilets I've seen, ever, and this was quite irritating for a number of practical reasons. There is complimentary tea and coffee throughout the day and breakfast is included, though it isn't particularly notable. The staff are definitely one of the best aspects of the property alongside the ginger lion cat and the apricot kitten and indeed the courtyard is very nice too, but there is a sizable difference all-round when comparing this hostel to the two others aforementioned. I'd still place it third in Tashkent when accounting for the price and I would book again if necessary. It is for the most part, a...
