I turned up at the 4* Reikartz Sote hotel only to be told that they did not have a room for me due to 'technical issues' but they had booked me into another hotel. That other hotel was about 5km and nowhere near a metro station. It was 3. I said no so they booked me in to an alternative - also 3 (Reikartz Xon) and about 20 mins walk from the metro. It was far from the part of the city that I needed to be in. That hotel was also not good - a budget hotel with air conditioning that rattled 24/7. Breakfast was lousy and when I stood up to get food the staff cleared my table of the tea pot / unused cup / tea bags that I'd placed there literally seconds before. There were only four other people in the room so they must be easily confused or not paying attention. Even though breakfast was scheduled until 10am there was very little left at 9am. At night I could also hear guests in other rooms talking while in my room so noise was sn issue.
At the Reikartz Sote I was told that they would refund me and I needed to go through the agent which I did. Trip.com did not secure me a refund.
So it was all very unsatisfactory. I would not recommend booking at the Reikartz Sote if you don't want to arrives thousands of miles from home and find they will not honour your booking and put you in a lower class hotel. My experience at Reikartz Xon also suggested that Reikartz hotels are poor quality and have poor service. It also seems that Reikartz are dishonest in not honouring the refund they said that I could have.
