AVOID THIS HOTEL Worst accommodation experience of our lives. We organised with the hotel to pick us up from the airport at 12pm, we called at 12pm and they told us they thought 12pm was midnight and they won't be coming. We instead organised a car to take us and the hotel is nothing like advertised. The hotel advertises a bar, spa, restaurant, none of which are actually in the hotel but at the Cordial Grand across the road. We went back and forth between both hotels, spoke to several staff in each before it was finally established that the bar closed down 2 years ago, yet there are still signs in the elevators advertising a rooftop bar. The restaurant at the Grand hotel is also apparently only open Monday-Friday, which was not stated anywhere.
The room itself appeared somewhat clean, however we soon noticed there were bugs everywhere and dirt on the floor and mold on the ceiling.
It is also advertised that there are vegan options for breakfast, again you have to go to the Grand Hotel across the street for this, which is not a big deal, however the hotel smelt of urine and feces and was extremely unpleasant to imagine eating food in that environment. I saw 2 potentially vegan options (not that it was stated) but chose not to eat there due to the smell.
The most frustrating part was when we were checking out they charged us for a bottle of water. We drank 2 of the complimentary waters and left 2 in the fridge, apparently we got the bottles mixed up and drank one of the paid fridge waters and put a complimentary one in the fridge. Either way, there were still 2 bottles left in the fridge yet we had to pay for one because it had a different label. We tried to suggest that the least they could do after everything was not charge us for a bottle of water, but they made no attempt to rectify any of the situation.
Overall an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience. Highly highly...
Read moreI would not recommend this hotel due to its misleading advertising and poor conditions. We originally booked “Cordial Beach Hotel,” but upon arrival, we were transported to a hotel called “The Cordial 1.” The moment we stepped into the lobby, we were hit with a strong odor of mould and cigarettes.
The front desk staff then informed us that the advertised amenities—breakfast buffet, gym, swimming pool, and spa—were not actually on the premises but located across the street at another hotel, “The Cordial Grand Hotel.” Despite this unexpected inconvenience, we decided to check in and hope for the best. Unfortunately, the rooms were a huge disappointment. They were outdated, dusty, and poorly maintained. The curtain rails were broken in both of the rooms we booked, and the toilets did not seem properly cleaned. The view was practically nonexistent since the windows were absolutely filthy and looking down at a dump site was not fitting for a “beach hotel”. Additionally, the two rooms were separated by a thin mezzanine wall, making it easy to hear conversations and noise from neighboring rooms.
Due to the unsatisfactory conditions, we inquired about staying at The Cordial Grand Hotel instead. While slightly better, it still fell far short of expectations for a supposed 4-star hotel. The towels were old and frayed, the walls had splattered stains, there was a strong smell of mould in the rooms, black mould on the shower curtains, and the hallways had filthy, carpeted flooring. The rooms were also extremely dusty.
Overall, this hotel was very deceiving in its advertising—“Cordial Beach Hotel” does not exist as a single establishment, and both hotels we experienced were outdated, dirty, and poorly maintained. It was a deeply disappointing stay, and I would not recommend it to...
Read moreDO NOT STAY HERE!!||This is by far the worst accomodation experience I’ve ever had. And I seriously have had some dodgy experiences before but this one takes the cake. First of all they never showed up to pick us up at the airport even though I called them three times to confirm and sent an email. Then we got to our room and it looks nothing like the photos. It’s dirty there’s bugs everywhere. It looks like it’s falling apart. Also the “mountain view” was just the hotel opposite. And there even looks there was a camera or something under the tv (the tv didn’t work) which freaked us out. ||Second there is no bar, no restaurant not even the spa even though they advertise everywhere that there is. There is breakfast offered at the hotel over the road and it is lamentable at best. Makes you want to cry. The restaurant smelt of urine and there were only 2 possibly vegetarian options but I’m not even sure. ||Then finally when we check out they made us pay for water even though there is two bottles still in the fridge. They made us go upstairs to show. We tried to fight it but the reception lady said she’d have to pay if we don’t. Plus it looked like the bed was just getting made not even changed. ||I seriously don’t understand how this place has so many good reviews. I’ve seen a lot about the staff. The staff were okay but not helpful at all. I don’t blame them for our terrible experience but they definitely could have helped to rectify the situation by giving us some money back or NOT charging us for a bottle of water that was STILL IN THE FRIDGE!||Overall a terrible terrible start to our trip in Vietnam. Save yourself the money and disappointment and do...
