Cordial Grand Hotel Da Nang — Hotel in Đà Nẵng

Upon arrival, I thought it was a nice hotel, but that's where it stops!! The keys we were given were cracked and the laminate was peeling. As we got off the elevator we stepped onto the dirtiest carpet I had ever seen!!! There were stains everywhere, including ones that looked like blood. It looked as if it hasn't been cleaned since the day the hotel opened! Due to the condition of the keycard, we had a bit of a hassle getting the door unlocked. Entering, at first glance the room looked clean, but after further observation, it turned out not so clean!!!

1. cobwebs and mold around a.c. vent.
2. coffee pot hadn't been cleaned for several months.
3. bathtub has mold on upper lip and walls.
4. Both desks had dust all over them.
5. bathroom sink was completely clogged. I climbed under sink and took the pipe off and it was completely clogged with hair!!!
6. food crumbs in the cracks of both desks!!
7. water in swimming pool on roof was scummy and yellow!!!
8. only 2 electrical outlets out of 8, actually worked. When I asked to be relocated to a different room, I was told that all the rooms would probably have the same problem..
9. when we went down for breakfast the next morning, all the placemats were incredibly stained. I went to exchange for any I could that might be better, and under the maya were just dried coffee and syrup and whatever else, which told me that neither the mats or tables had been wiped from the day before, as I was the first customer of the day.. Upon further attempts at finding better placemats, I found that none of the tables had been wiped or cleaned from the previous day.. When we returned to our room the following day, the maid had been there, but only folded the blankets to the end of the bed... Didn't change our clean the coffee cups, didn't take the garbage that we had put in plastic bag. The bathroom hadn't been touched!! Dirty towels were still hung over the chairs. Unfortunately they don't have a spot to upload pictures!!! I would not return, nor would I ever refer anyone... Oh, and the service person was sitting on the floor in the service elevator hallway playing games on...

The location is terrible. It's a 40 minute walk away from the main tourist area.

I hired a scooter from them which broke down. They first tried to blame it on me saying that I didn't put petrol in it. I did. The battery died and I had to walk 1 hour back to the hotel. I received no apology. Then they tried to charge me for that days rental!

I got a "2 bedroom" apartment, however it was only a 1 bedroom and the second bed was plopped in the middle of the lounge/dinning area. The layout was extremely awkward and uncomfortable.

The breakfast was terrible. It was supposed to go to 9:30am but by 8am they had run out of food. The breakfast is mostly to Asian taste.

A water pipe must run through the roof of the bedroom I stayed in because there was the sound of loud running water all night long.

The pool was nice, however they blared out jazz music, far too loud to make the area comfortable. They also anchored down the sunbeds so you can't move them into the shade.

The airconditioning, despite having the option to choose a temperature, only pumped out freezing cold air. It was very loud as well.

Out the front of the hotel it stunk. Unbearably so. I guess this is where they keep the garbage. I felt sorry for the security guard who had to sit there all day...or else I would have if he didn't have his friends over everyday sitting around keeping him company.

The staff weren't friendly and didn't have a good grasp of english, and when I calmly explained that I was upset with the service, I was just starred at blankly. Any other hotel would have gotten their manager to assist me - but I got nothing...therefore this review.

But the worse thing to happen, is that I didn't even book this hotel! I booked the sister hotel across the road, but when I arrived I was told they didn't have a room for me and they were sending me across the road to this hotel. They didn't even have the professional courtesy to contact me before hand and inform me.

I would not recommend this hotel due to its misleading advertising and poor conditions. We originally booked “Cordial Beach Hotel,” but upon arrival, we were transported to a hotel called “The Cordial 1.” The moment we stepped into the lobby, we were hit with a strong odor of mold and cigarettes.

The front desk staff then informed us that the advertised amenities—breakfast buffet, gym, swimming pool, and spa—were not actually on the premises but located across the street at another hotel, “The Cordial Grand Hotel.” Despite this unexpected inconvenience, we decided to check in and hope for the best. Unfortunately, the rooms were a huge disappointment. They were outdated, dusty, and poorly maintained. The curtain rails were broken in both of the rooms we booked, and the toilets did not seem properly cleaned. The view was practically nonexistent since the windows were absolutely filthy and looking down at a dump site was not fitting for a “beach hotel”. Additionally, the two rooms were separated by a thin mezzanine wall, making it easy to hear conversations and noise from neighboring rooms.

Due to the unsatisfactory conditions, we inquired about staying at The Cordial Grand Hotel instead. While slightly better, it still fell far short of expectations for a supposed 4-star hotel. The towels were old and frayed, the walls had splattered stains, there was a strong smell of mold in the rooms, black mold on the shower curtains, and the hallways had filthy, carpeted flooring. The rooms were also extremely dusty.

Overall, this hotel was very deceiving in its advertising—“Cordial Beach Hotel” does not exist as a single establishment, and both hotels we experienced were outdated, dirty, and poorly maintained. It was a deeply disappointing stay, and I would not recommend it to...
