TLDR: Staff was nice and there was hot showers, but I would not stay here again. There are ants and other insects, dirty bedding and floors, old beaten up toilet seats, poor room security. The staff were very friendly and helpful, but I probably would not stay here again due to the cleanliness. When we first got there, the key opened a room (Room 414) that was already being occupied- I was able to gain access to their luggage and everything. That made me scared to leave my things there and I wanted to leave but decided to give it a chance since the staff was so nice. My husband went down to get a new key ( Room 416). The next room had ants, so we asked to change rooms. The last room was tolerable( Room 515) , but the bedding looked so dirty and stained. We asked for clean bedding because one of the stains looked like blood. We were told that they did not have any extra blankets and that if I wanted new bedsheets we would have to change rooms. There was also a couple of bugs on the pillow, so we didn’t use it. I was tired of changing rooms and wasn’t sure if it would be any better or even worse so we stayed and tried to cover the bed so we don’t have to touch it. The toilet seat looked old and beat up. The rug looked stained and old. Normally I would take my shoes off, but didn’t feel clean enough to have my socks touch the floor. The only good thing was the shower gets really hot.

My stay at Golden Rose Hotel was disappointing. The hotel itself was extremely basic—just a room with no real amenities, despite the pictures on Booking.com suggesting otherwise. It’s located on a very loud street with constant noise from music, children screaming, dogs barking, and even ongoing maintenance work. I upgraded my booking to a city view room, assuming I’d be on a high floor, but I was placed on the fourth floor with a view of the hotel across the street. When I asked to move, I was told nothing was available but that I could switch later in the month. Despite following up, I remained in the same room the entire time. The cleaning standards were some of the worst I’ve ever experienced. Housekeeping would spend just 2–5 minutes in the room, barely tidying up. I’d often return to find trash still there, the bed sheets rarely changed. Surfaces never wiped and loads of ants everywhere. The shower frequently lacked hot water, and there was a strong smell of mold behind the bed, making it uncomfortable to sleep. Additionally, the window in my room didn’t latch properly. On my last night, it was extremely windy, and the window kept blowing open. I had to anchor it down with a water bottle and my makeup bag just to get some rest (see images attached). Overall, this was a disappointing stay. I would not recommend it.

I didn't book the hotel through the apps as booking directly through the hotel was much cheaper. Here are the highlights of my ~15-day stay: - The wifi is bad. If you're looking to work here, the wifi is bad. There is a co-working space nearby and I went there a couple of times - The beds were comfy and I liked them - There was a lack of hangers in my room, and one of them was broken - They provide two small bottles of water, so you would have to buy more water - I tried turning on the lamp only to find out that the lamp doesn't have a bulb - The people at the reception and the housekeeping staff were really nice. The first room I went to was bad, so they changed the room and it was good. - The curtains were a little dirty and there were stains on them - I am not sure if it matters, but right beside the hotel, there were a bunch of chickens, so you would hear them first thing in the morning. Oh, and also there are ants and small flying insects. - The street on which the hotel is is nice. There are a bunch of restaurants, bakery, grocery store, pharmacy, and even the beach is a 5 minute walk away. The location is nice. Overall, the room was good enough for the price. The staff was good, but some things could be improved.

I’m leaving a review here because they are not allowing me to leave a review in Booking. Seems sketchy

The location was great, a couple of blocks away from the beach and many cafes and local restaurants around

It’s hard to leave a bad review because I paid hostel price however I’m very unsatisfied with the service and the cleaning

The staff was not very helpful and definitely the service is not a 4* hotel. Even in very humble hostels I stayed during my trip in SE Asia, they helped me with my bags and the service was way better

I first got a room in the level 7, the card didn’t work and I went back to the reception and left my luggage at the door. They changed the room to level 4 (instead of fixing the card as I expected) and I told them, hey my bags are still in level 7, they looked at me like I was saying something weird, and walked me to the elevator and told me go to level 7, then level 4. The corridor at the bedroom door had tones of mini flies (similar to the fruit flies, although there were no signs of food around, maybe humidity flies? Not really sure but not pleasant at all) and the bedroom had many mini flies as well, I killed at least 50 the first day and the next 2 days there were only a few in the bedroom but outside in the corridor still many

The last day I asked them to help me to book a bus to Laos and the guy told me: this is the first time I hear about this. I showed him the website that says: ask you hotel/hostel to book the bus, there was a phone number. I had to tell him what to do and insist to make sure the reservation was done. I wasted so much time, it’d have been shorter to just go to the bus station but it was a 20min drive from the hotel. He ended booking everything for me including the pick up at the hotel but it took...

Absolutely Disgusting – Do NOT Be Fooled by the Photos ★☆☆☆☆

This is hands down one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at. First of all, the rooms are filthy – and I mean filthy. Nothing like the photos online. Hair, stains, dust, insects – yes, actual bugs on the walls and inside the closets.

We booked two rooms, and neither of the showers worked. Let that sink in. Not just one – both. On top of that, the suite bed was broken, with a huge sag in the middle like it had already collapsed under someone’s weight. No proper interior, exposed fixtures in the bathroom, and missing planks. It looked like an unfinished construction site.

The noise levels are unbearable. You’ll hear the elevator all night long, and every single noise from the hallway and neighboring rooms. Forget about sleep. Walls are paper thin, and guests scream and slam doors at all hours.

Reception? A complete joke. Rude, unprofessional, and honestly just plain lazy. No greetings, no service, and zero willingness to help with anything. And guess what? No air conditioning in the lobby either, so you’ll be sweating like a pig while waiting for help that never comes.

Wi-Fi? More like no-Wi-Fi. We tested it. Max 1 Mbps, if even that. Completely useless for any modern traveler.

Honestly, I don’t understand the high ratings. Any review above 3 stars has to be fake – or written by friends, staff, or bots. Because there’s absolutely no way anyone in their right mind could give this place a 5-star review with a straight face.

Avoid at all costs. I wouldn’t stay here again even if...

Really wasn't crazy about the place though I have nothing too bad to say about it. Then again I really have nothing that good to say either. At first, I thought the place was clean enough, but then they didn't clean my room after the second night and looking under the bed to see if I missed anything when checking out, it was pretty nasty down there (bed was real high off the floor). Feel the same way about breakfast, nothing really good or bad to say. Food was okay and selection was decent, but the staff looked pretty grumpy. Probably get that from their supervisor. Had an issue using my credit card to pay the hotel bill - they couldn't get their machine working two days in a row, so I had to pay in cash. To be quite honest, I'm skeptical if there was a problem with the machine to begin with. I'm thinking that they just might have wanted cash, or they didn't know how use it. I really don't know this for sure though. My feeling is when something like this happens, the hotel is making their problems mine. I did like that front desk staff was always quite friendly which is really the best thing I can say about the place. Oh yeah, the price was very reasonable as well. I go to Danang often, and I won't stay here again. There is too much competition in this city to have to deal with mediocrity, and in my view all on management's part. Well I guess I was wrong when I said I had nothing to say; I really did say a lot. Anyway, I split to Hoi An. ...
