Our stay at the Draco was absolutely magnificent. The rooms provided a spacious and clean environment, ensuring our comfort throughout our time there. The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to assist with any requests or inquiries we had. Their warm and accommodating service added an extra layer of enjoyment to our stay.
One of the highlights of the hotel was the breathtaking view from the rooftop pool. The panoramic vista was truly incredible, allowing us to relax and soak in the beauty of our surroundings. It was a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a refreshing swim.
While the breakfast buffet was relatively small in size, we found the selection of options to be satisfying. Despite its size, there were enough choices to cater to different preferences, ensuring a pleasant start to our mornings.
A major advantage of the hotel's location was its proximity to the beach, which was just a five-minute walk away. This allowed us to easily access the beach and enjoy its beauty at our convenience. Additionally, we were delighted to find a variety of delicious restaurants and food stalls in the vicinity of the hotel. This made dining an absolute pleasure, as we had a range of culinary options to choose from.
The hotel's street was quiet, enabling us to enjoy leisurely walks after dinner and take in the serene atmosphere of the surroundings. Furthermore, the presence of an ATM nearby and a convenience store just a few doors down proved to be incredibly convenient for our needs, ensuring that we had easy access to any essentials or amenities required during our stay.
The Draco's location was particularly advantageous as it offered quick and easy access to various attractions, including the Da Nang Night Market. The hotel's proximity to these points of interest allowed us to explore and experience the vibrant local culture without having to travel...
Read moreIt was my wife and my 1st time in Vietnam on a 90day Visa, so after some research, we decided we wanted our 1st week to be around the touristy/expat/foreigner areas. Additionally, we desired walking access to the beach/boardwalk, restaurants/cafes, and nice places to get a couple of massages.
Obviously, we desired a clean western style hotel with nice service, great airconditioning, and decent service.
Well, we lucked out when we chose the Draco Hotel for our first place to temporarily reside! We went with a studio, so the space was a bit tight, but our whole wall facing the ocean and street front was all glass windows, so the view was quite nice. We found ourselves in the heart of the expat/foreigner epicenter which included surrounding restaurants and services that catered to foreign visitors and guests. A very popular burger joint right out front (always busy), and everything else you need within steps away. The beach and the boardwalk, was only two minutes away by walking. Gorgeous well maintained and established walkways along side the beach, sprinkled with restrooms (WCs) along the way!
Regarding the Draco hotel, besides the amazing location and the complimentary breakfast buffet, the single driving factor that compelled me to hit the 5 star button, was the SERVICE! It wasn't overboard or anything like that. All the staff were genuinely kind, courteous, respectful and Responsive. What an amazing first impression to the beautiful country! Special shout out to the Kitchen and server staff and also Front of House staff: Kha, Duy and Vy!!! Thank YOU all so much!!! I will be popping by from time to time to say hi to them. John and Julie, from...
Read moreActually the worst hotel I've been in for my Vietnam trip. When we went in, the room is so ridiculously small and so weirdly designed. The sink beside the bed?...speechless. no balcony, weird platform for the bed that would trip elderly or anyone that accidentally hits onto platform. The pool area's stairs are pretty steep too. The service was pretty good, and so was the location. But the pool was under maintence the whole of the second day we were there, and we were only staying for 2 nights...
The lights at the corridor are energy saver so they switch off when people aren't there, but the sensors are so odd sometimes so sometimes you just stand in the dark and it's scary. The Aircon was also so difficult to adjust and make sure that it wasn't too cold or too hot, the lights was so dim and odd? You had to practically run around the room like an Easter egg hunt to find switches and turn the lights off/on. And if you are getting connecting rooms, do note that they cannot be locked. The next morning, on our checkout day, there was some really loud music playing outside the corridor at 6.30am in the morning and because the walls and doors are so thin too, I could hear everything. The phone in the room wasn't even working either when I tried to call other rooms and the front desk. They do check everything very very thorough when you check out (missing items, etc) so please remember to check ur items when u first go into the room and when they finish housekeeping if you have anything missing, DO tell them. Overall, great service, good location. If u don't mind minor inconveniences, and u love the look of the...
