I'm going to be nice here and rate it 3 stars for one main reason: the manager and I had a long talk about everything and seemed genuinely concerned about the issues, while not charging me for the drink, which was also nice. But they really need to do some soul searching here as well as Wok Tei as they are the same owners. 1st, knowing Vietnamese run restaurants and their menus, I specifically asked the waiter if the photos were of their actual, made and served food or if they were 'for reference only'. He assured me they were what I would receive. I ordered a cheese quesadilla and added chicken, an advertised special alcoholic drink and a side of jalapeno peppers. 1. The quesadilla looked nothing like the photo, was filled only halfway to the edges and didn't have nearly enough filling. What was there WAS tasty however, but really you only got 50% of a quesadilla. See attached photos. 2. The drink shows a full glass, with chili salt on the rim and no ice. What I got was half a glass, with ice (so really only 25% of a glass) with regular salt on the rim. See attached photos. 3. The jalapenos were local chili peppers and NOT jalapenos. They try to pass them off and TBH, they probably get away with it 95% of the time because apparently most people are ignorant. But it is lying, flat out and I was very angry about this because chili peppers taste nothing like jalapenos. 4. The quesadilla came with sour cream and 3 sauces. The sauces were ok but the Mexican sauce in the bottle on the table was better and quite good in comparison. But the sour cream, like the jalapenos, was NOT sour cream. It wasn't even crema. It was like water that was white and had no flavor. This is just being cheap and I have no idea why they would call that sour cream. 5. Bonus star for the 3 star rating: Upstairs they have an enclosed room with AC so I ate comfortably without sweating to death. Good on...
Read moreEdit: I have come back and had the burrito and and it was much better. The chips were not stale and the service was great.
Let's start with the needs improvement:
These generic colored chips are almost stale (but not yet) and have zero salt on them. This would be okay if the guacamole had any level of salt or seasoning itself but it's mostly just a avocado mash with a little cilantro, an amount of onion that could be zero and you wouldn't tell the difference, no tomatoes, and no salt and I think no garlic (no jalapenos either but that's an optional ingredient).
The tacos should be mix and match but that's fine, but had they allowed mix and match maybe I would have got a second taco that was better. My Korean taco wasn't great. The chicken wasn't crispy, I didn't like the flavour of the sauce but that might be a personal choice.
I was going to get a burrito but the tacos were presented so well I didn't get one. Maybe the burritos would be better though I'm skeptical of their french fry burrito.
My server was nice enough.
If I came back here it would be for the horchata which was actually amazing. I'm honestly surprised that horchata hasn't been embraced in Vietnam considering the amount of rice used in everything a cinnamon rice milk seems like a perfect fit but I've been struggling to find one.
My meal came out to nearly what a fast casual burrito in Canada would cost but wasn't that good. I'm aware you're paying extra for western food but Epic Mexican Food down the street is about the same price, isn't this fast food style, is more delicious, they make their own chips, and overall have a much better experience.
But they don't have horchata, Adobo does. It's really...

The impressive wide menu of building-your-own options gives you exactly the meal you are craving, and is quickly cooked fresh to order. The nachos are substantial, and every chip you eat from first to last is loaded with goodies.
Besides the delicious food, we were even more impressed with the service. We were delighted to be in Sam’s capable hands for our dinner, and she not only excelled in service, but was smart and funny and happy to answer questions and provide well-informed recommendations. Bonus points that, not only did Sam not balk when I ordered two desserts because I couldn’t pick just one, but she smiled and cheered me on, agreeing that both the the churros (complete with homemade caramel sauce) and the chocolate pot.
The special Pho Margarita is a tantalizing blend of the warm aromatics of pho with the traditional margarita, and to drink it is to ponder on the fact that this is exactly what the margarita has been missing all its life.
Not only can I not recommend highly enough, I can’t wait...
