Very disappointing. We couldn't get access into the building for about 15 minutes because of doors being locked. We had been sent a message saying we could arrive at midday and leave our bags although check in was at 2pm . The area is not very pretty and having doors locked during the day we wandered if the area was safe. With no amenities nearby and at least a 10 min walk to the beach (but, the wrong end of the beach. it's probably another 10 min walk to the bars and restaurants on the beach) we were sent a WhatsApp to say our room was ready at 2pm and a code to the door. Having already sorted the check in and paid earlier we were told key is in the box! You obviously need to turn on the electricity in the electrical box in the room which hadn't been explained. This was the weirdest meet and greet we've ever experienced during our travels for the last 9 months. The room was very small and cramped. The shower, the overhead shower doesn't work so the added plastic handheld shower works but very poor water pressure. The so-called balcony was in fact a passageway to other rooms and not a balcony which we booked and paid for. The plunge pool wasn't clean therefore we didn't use it. The only saving grace, we booked one night. There are so in many lovely hotels and homestays in Da nang which are better...
Read moreEasy experience at Gom House as they let us store bags in the premises before checking in, and the room is spacious, well-decorated and comfortable. Upon check-in, the owner escorts us to our room and gives a brief tour of the facilities in limited English (which was well appreciated). ||||Large soft bed which was very welcome after a long tour through Vietnam, and shower etc worked decently. The ground floor pool is also excellent for cooling off after a long day.||||Only downsides are the shower has no curtain so water goes beyond the bathtub, and the toilet seat and bathroom sink tap were slightly loose but didn’t make any different to our stay. Would...
Read moreWe stayed 1 night at this hotel and I am glad that we did not book more nights. The hotel and the room is very pretty, room is quite big.
What we didn’t like was the humidity in the room and smell from it. Also they only give you very flat pillows, I have no idea why, because we needed to put our hoodies under the pillow so that we could sleep.
And the room that we stayed should have had a view to the pool (thats why i booked the room) but the windows were completely covered in the plastic tape. So the picture of a room from agoda and in reality is different.
Also they only accept cash, which was not mentioned...
