Food was good - my son enjoyed his Banh Xeo and it was a very generous portion. Bun Cha was fine, I've had better, but bun cha is always good.
They give a complimentary plate of fruit at the end of the meal.
Service was very inexperienced. Ordering is through QR code menu. Our first meal came out 20 min, our second at 40 min and our last meal at 55 min. We would not have ordered that dish if we knew it was going to take an hour, plus it is very annoying to get food when everyone else has long finished eating.
There's no air conditioning - waiter brought a fan.. Then didn't turn it on.
I watched a waiter walk past with my drinks four times, looking for my table, while I was trying to wave him down and he ended up asking another table if the drinks were theirs.
When the food arrived, I pointed at the person who ordered the dish but the waiter just plonked the meal at the end of the table each time, leading us to have to pass meals awkwardly along.
Once we received our food the waiter walked away and I had to wave them down again for cutlery. (the tables are empty when you sit down and stay empty!)
I speak fluent Vietnamese, this was not a language barrier. Every service issue was very minor but it all added up to a very aggravating experience, especially seeing other tables go through the same issues.
This was our last meal in Da Nang and I was very...
Read moreIf you're new to Vietnamese cuisine or looking for a dish that perfectly balances crispy, savory, and refreshing elements, Bánh Xèo CUOI in Da Nang is a fantastic place to start. Specializing in the beloved Vietnamese savory pancake, this charming local eatery offers a memorable introduction to central Vietnam’s flavors.
The star of the show, their bánh xèo, is cooked to a golden, crackly perfection—thin and crispy on the outside, yet hearty and flavorful within. It's served with the traditional accompaniments: rice paper, fresh herbs, crisp vegetables, and a side of nuoc mam (fish sauce) for dipping. The combination of textures and freshness creates a satisfying balance that feels both indulgent and light.
Wrapping the hot pancake in cool, crisp greens with rice paper, then dipping into their well-balanced fish sauce, is a ritual that delights both the palate and the senses. It’s not just a meal—it’s an experience.
Suggestion for Improvement: The only drawback? The indoor area can get quite warm, especially around midday. Improved ventilation or air conditioning would make the dining experience more comfortable, especially for visitors not used to Vietnam’s...
Read moreT’was a stormy day in Da Nang, I stumbled through the streets seeking refuge from the gods thunder pounding above me. I found myself in the banh xeo cuoi restaurant. Previously, i was a fool, blind to the possibilities a banh mi could incite. I was not prepared. I took my seat in the perfectly temperate room, with music reminiscent of a medieval tavern serenading me. The mixed pan banh mi was ordered! After an extremely brief wait it arrived. Beef. Chicken. Pork. Cheese. Egg. Assorted vegetables both hot and cold. What more could one ask for? Perhaps a perfectly fresh baked loaf of bread? YES! I began the assembly stage, loading the loaf with each and every incredible morsel of meat and plant before me… At last. It was ready. My sight went blurry as i took my first bite, pure bliss enveloped every taste bud. Tears ran down my face for i knew never again would i be blessed by the sandwich gods in this way. Praise be to the butter, bun and holy filling! 10/10...
