Our stay at Lantana was pleasant. We spent 2 nights in the boutique hotel. The area around the hotel is quiet, a considerable distance from the city center. Not a problem if you enjoy walking around or hire a scooter in the hotel. There are just a few eateries nearby so you'll need to walk or take a Grab ride to the city center. Grab rates are reasonable enough. Except for one driver, all our grab drivers gave the exact change when needed. The rooms are clean and spacious enough. There is a simple kitchenette which we didn't use since we were out most of the time. Comfort room is big enough but, doesn't come with a partition separating the shower area from the toilet bowl so expect the bowl to get wet after you shower. The room has a small ref and tv which we didn't bother to use bec we were on the go most of the time. By the time we returned to Lantana, we were too exhausted to check out what was showing on the television. The bed is comfortable enough with 2 pillows each for 2 pax. The ac is reliable and can cool the room in a few minutes. The staff at the reception - Man, Ny and Thao - are accommodating and do their best to address your queries if you have any. In case you have a slight problem when communicating with them, try using the translator app of your phone. The translator will come in handy bec not all Vietnamese are articulate enough with the English language. So if a boutique hotel outside the city center is your cup of tea, Lantana will do the job. Try the Sense cafe beside it if your sched permits. They have a farm to table advocacy and is a pet friendly...
Read moreFirst and foremost, I am writing this review to compliment Lantana House's manager, Lisa, for her brilliant service in handling our problem on the 15th of August 2025 at 12a.m.
My boyfriend and I rented a motorcycle from this hotel. We decided to ride it and park it near the beach, one street away, for parking convenience. We realized it was missing when we returned to our motorcycle around 11 p.m.. Assuming it might be stolen, we panicked and rushed back to the hotel to report the loss.
At that time, Lisa, the manager, assisted us. She was calm and meticulous throughout, while trying to solve our problem. She even rode her own motorcycle and brought me back to the scene to help find our motorcycle. She tried to calm me down on the way, telling me how safe Danang is and that the motorcycle is unlikely to be stolen. With her sharp eyes, she found our motorcycle locked in another hotel. We accidentally parked in another hotel's parking lot. Lisa even asked for help and woke the security guard up to get the motorcycle back.
Long story short, we eventually got back to the hotel, all safe and sound, with our motorcycles, without having to get the police involved, all thanks to Lisa. I am absolutely grateful to her. I give 5 stars for the staff service here.
Otherwise, our room was great. But I'll give it 4 stars because the electric rubbish bin ran out of battery. Also, the swimming pool area could be maintained for the stairs.
Location-wise, walking distance to the beach, and easy to find food and drink...
Read moreThe accommodation is very nice and exceptionally clean. The staff is incredibly helpful, and there’s daily housekeeping to replace towels and replenish water, coffee, and tea. The bed is large and comfortable, and the room is spacious. We stayed in room 302 and the one next to it on the 3rd floor.
The only downside is the kindergarten next door, which, of course, isn’t the accommodation’s fault. From Monday to Sunday, it starts quite early, with parents dropping off their kids, causing some noise. The balcony faces the kindergarten, and the teachers use microphones to communicate with the children, making it quite loud. Additionally, they play techno-style music for the kids, which adds to the noise.
Another issue was the roosters, which started crowing like a concert from 3 a.m., and for two nights, we also heard a cat meowing in the middle of the night. Again, none of this is the accommodation’s responsibility.
Lastly, there was a sewage smell coming from the bathroom. Initially, it wasn’t too bad, but after staying for five nights, it became noticeable. We didn’t inform the staff, but perhaps we should have, as they might have resolved it.
Other than these issues, the location is fantastic! It’s within walking distance of the Dragon Bridge, the night market, eateries, massage places, and everything you might need is just around the corner. Overall, a convenient and pleasant stay despite a...
