===========UPDATE=========
We couldn't stop thinking about this place... So we went a second day in a row! This time was around 7:30p.m. on a Thursday and we waiting for about 40 minutes. We wanted to try some other dishes but they were out of all crabs and steamed rice. So instead we got garlic fried rice, garlic butter tiger prawn, green onion and peanut scallops, cheese scallops, morning glory, clam porridge, fried calamari, and grilled Hoi An pork skewers. We also wanted 5 baguettes but they only had 2 available and were waiting for more to be made/delivered so we just had the 2.
Everything was still amazingly delicious! Our server from the night before recognized us as well and switched places with our new server so he can personally 손질해 our food for us and continue our banter in some Korean! Amazing customer service and an unforgettable place! We were so happy we got to try Moc Quan one more time before we left Da Nang and can't wait to come back again in the future!
AMAZING SEAFOOD AND IMPECCABLE SERVICE!
My family of 5 went around 7pm on a Wednesday night and there was a long line up (they were calling for #17 and we were #32). Servers told us it would be about 40-45 minute wait but we got our seats within 20 minutes. We had a menu to look through while waiting so we ordered as soon as we were seated. We were seated in the air conditioned room that was already cool but also had fans running for extra air circulation.
We got clam porridge, morning glory, clams with chilli and lemongrass, grilled scallop with cheese, tamarind shrimp, Hoi An grilled meat roll, fried garlic lobster, and garlic butter lobster. I am not exaggerating when I say everything was delicious!! Even the porridge was seasoned well and not bland! I recommend everything we had but highly recommended the grilled scallop and cheese, garlic butter lobster and fried garlic lobster. The sauce was so good we ordered extra white rice and baguette to mix and dip them in.
Our server was very attentive, helpful, and even cut up and deshelled the lobster and shrimp for us, table side, so it's easier to eat. He even made rolls for us with the grilled meat skewers and placed everything on our plates. He cleared our empty shells and brought out any extras we ordered quickly. He spoke some Korean with us and made us laugh with some jokes here and there! The service alone made the experience here unforgettable!
Overall, worth the wait and would go out of my way to come again when visiting Vietnam...

During my visit to DaNang MOC Seafood Restaurant, I had the pleasure of experiencing a diverse selection of dishes that truly showcased the depth and freshness of their seafood offerings. Here’s a detailed review of the standout dishes I enjoyed:
Ambiance and Service
The restaurant’s atmosphere was inviting, with a charming coastal vibe enhanced by warm lighting and tasteful nautical decor. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, eagerly recommending dishes and ensuring that our dining experience was smooth and memorable.
Thai Seafood Hotpot
The Thai Seafood Hotpot was the centerpiece of the meal. The aromatic broth was infused with lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, and chili, creating a perfect balance of tangy, spicy, and savory flavors. The seafood—featuring prawns, squid, fish, and shellfish—was incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection in the simmering pot. The accompanying vegetables and noodles complemented the dish well, and the serving size was generous, making it ideal for sharing.
Sweet Shrimp
The Sweet Shrimp was a delightful surprise. Each shrimp was succulent and naturally sweet, with a delicate glaze that enhanced its flavor without overpowering it. The dish was plated beautifully, making it as visually appealing as it was delicious.
“Sò lụa hấp sả” (Steamed Venus Clams with Lemongrass)
The “Sò lụa hấp sả” was a highlight for its simplicity and elegance. The steamed venus clams were tender and juicy, absorbing the fragrant aroma of lemongrass and a subtle hint of ginger. A light dipping sauce accompanied the dish, offering a tangy contrast to the mild sweetness of the clams. It was an excellent choice for those who appreciate clean, natural seafood flavors.
Overall Experience
The restaurant’s focus on high-quality ingredients and skillful preparation was evident in every dish. The prices were reasonable, given the quality and portion sizes, and the overall dining experience felt like a celebration of DaNang’s rich seafood culture.
I highly recommend DaNang MOC Seafood Restaurant for anyone visiting the area. Whether you’re a seafood aficionado or someone looking to enjoy a comforting and flavorful meal, this place...
Read moreWe came here for our first dinner in Da Nang after reading all the reviews. We expected it to be pricey for the quality and taste. Ordered steam king prawns, mantis prawn fried with salt, fried morning glory and clam with garlic, seafood fried rice, and a large lobster. We wanted to have it steam but the waiter suggested to cook it 2 ways, fried with garlic and butter garlic since the king prawns will be steamed and we took his suggestion. The waiter took me to the tank and hand picked the mantis prawns and lobster, weighted on the scale and make sure I was happy with the weight and price. Everything came out fast and tasted good. Service was great as the waitress peel shells off for us. We tasted the lobster after being peeled, the butter garlic ones are super buttery that literally cover the freshness of the lobster. The fried with garlic one was sitting in the lakes of sauce tasted like sweet chilli. I straight away called the waiter and told that the order is wrong cos it tasted nothing like fried with garlic. After explaining to different waiters/waitresses, checking the menu, they explained to us that the chef invented this new sauce and insisted that the correct order. They even took the 2 bowls of sauce out and wants us to taste it. The menu in English state, 'Fried with Garlic', in Chinese state, 'Dry fried with Garlic'. So I googled fried garlic lobster and showed them, what they served us it is nothing like it. They took away the lobster and came back with a few prawns that looks like the genuine fried with garlic, that was more than half an hour later. They wanted to cook another one for us with the 'googled fried with garlic'. By then, we are so frustrasted and lost of our appetite. They asked us to go back another night but why? So we paid and left. After so much hassle, we didn't even had our full lobster as they took away half and paid full price for it, the lobster itself was almost 1.9M Dong. Everything else we had were delicious but would we recommend this place. No, it is way too pricey and some of the cooking method should not be on the menu for...
