We wanted to try a new seafood place closer to the beach for a treat as we usually eat downtown and the reviews for this place are pretty good. I hate to give subpar reviews but unfortunately I have to with this place. The place is clean and the staff are very nice but we had several issues, especially when we are paying almost double what we normally pay for a good seafood restaurant. We ordered the morning glory and it was really great, green vibrant and lots of well cooked garlic. We ordered the scallops with scallions and the scallops were cooked well but the seasoning lacked and needed a bit of oil/dressing but would rate a strong 8/10. The scallops with cheese sauce were unusually sweet, like sugar had been added to the cheese sauce 7/10. The problem we had was that I asked for several items from the menu that were unavailable and for the fish option only butterfish was available and no grouper which were in tanks but they wouldn’t give us? So, we ordered a grilled butterfish with no chili as this was mainly for our daughter and she can’t handle spice, I repeated that I wanted no chili 3 times to make sure the server understood and she seemed to fully understand. However, it came out about 20-30 minutes later absolutely covered in chilli and it was even a bit strong for me and I practically live on a diet of hot sauce. Anyway, we told the service team and it was taken away…..and brought back 5 minutes later with a little bit of the chilli sauce scraped off. They told me it will be okay but one look at it I could tell it was still hotter than the sun and one taste of it backed up my thoughts. To be fair the staff were very kind and did offer a refund but why would they try to wipe a bit of chilli off it and palm it off as acceptable in the first place after they’d taken away for 5 minutes. Anyway, if you don’t mind chilli on your fish you’ll enjoy it but we did miss the local atmosphere of our local downtown...
Read moreA typical tourist trap with inflated prices, but unlike other places, the food here is also completely tasteless, with possibly spoiled seafood. The seafood rice was somewhat crunchy, as if they had added too much monosodium glutamate and then overcooked it. The seafood soup was even worse, with absolutely no seafood except for mollusks. But these mollusks were so sour that I'm glad I managed to spit them out; they were most likely spoiled. Out of all the restaurants in Vietnam, this was the most unpalatable. We left almost all the dishes uneaten.
If you still decide to eat here, first go to the restroom to see what the kitchen looks like. After you see the kitchen, you definitely won't want to eat in these...
Read moreVery unprofessional behavior. They advertise that you can check the weight, but instead, an employee simply selects a lobster and brings it to the kitchen, even though you didn't see anyone take a lobster out of the tank the whole time. Only after asking several times, you find out the weight and finally the price. 1.2 kg for over 3,000,000 VND. The only positive thing was that after we protested, the lobster was canceled and we didn't have to pay for it. The general atmosphere in the restaurant is totally plain and unspectacular. At these prices, you expect something different. Absolutely not...
