We still love Louis Hotel!
We have stayed here 4-5 times over the past 7 years. Always getting the king suite. Large room with a sitting area, very comfortable with large windows over looking the city. What makes us love this hotel most is the staff/ employees. Over the years everyone has been very friendly, polite, professional and accommodating. And the location is perfect for us, we are near family and the market, the beautiful Danang Beach is just a short taxi ride away.
About 7 years ago on our first stay at Louis Hotel, it was very impressive. You could tell the owners loved the hotel. Very fresh paint, clean and well kept. Linens and towels were nice and our room looked and smelled new! Over the years, I don't think anything has been touched! Our resent stay was a little disappointing with the condition of our suite. The walls and furniture were terrible. The towels and linens are worn and stained. The furniture we covered with a sheet to use and rugs need to be deep cleaned or replaced. Curtains need to be taken down and cleaned. How about a fresh coat of paint?
These rooms are no longer in the condition you advertise.
I am suspecting there's new owners of the hotel? There was one person there at the hotel that I'm guessing is the manager, he just walked around with his arms crossed- no smile or friendly expression. We have never experienced that before at Louis Hotel. Everyone else at the hotel was fantastic! Keep the employees - freshen up the hotel - show the hotel some love! Ah! And what happened to the breakfast menu, very sparse now.
Please don't let Louis Hotel go to waste. We really enjoy staying there but if it keeps getting worse we will look for somewhere else to stay when we...
Read moreMy first stay at this hotel. I chose it because I knew one of the reception staff from a previous Vietnam visit when she worked in Hoi An. Check in and stay were smooth. Complimentary breakfast was an assortment of Vietnamese soups or fried eggs, coffee, tea; all adequate for me. Interesting "colonial" style decor which, being an old school guy, I liked. Close to the airport, but no jet noise, and a short walk to the big supermarket, and the river, ask the reception staff for local restaurant suggestions. Several banks and jewelry shops nearby for money exchange, credit cards accepted. Motorbike rental available for the courageous traveler. WiFi was slow like always in Vietnam but again it served its purpose and I was not here to be in front of some device all day and night shooting selfies for my followers. Friendly and efficient reception and housekeeping staff and they have indoor motorcycle parking which is important to me. I had no difficulties here and no complaints,I will stay here again when I catch my flight out. I enjoyed catching up with my old friend Mrs Thuy and seeing...
Read moreMy partner and I stayed here after a couple nights in Saigon and I have to say we were delighted with the service we received here! ||||When my partner and I arrived we found out we had paid for a triple room instead of just a regular room, as the receptionist could see it was just the two of us she offered us the VIP room, which we accepted and very much appreciated! ||||We had both also been quite ill the day we arrived and we really needed to arrange some medication and a doctor visit. One of the men who worked in reception escorted us to the pharmacy and ensured we got the correct medication. ||||When we arrived at breakfast the next morning we had a note left for us who had the contact details for a hospital and a doctor who would come to the hotel. ||||We really enjoyed our stay here and found the staff super friendly and helpful! The rooms were clean and well looked after with cute decor and very well priced! I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone who was...
