semi social hostel. no spa unless you count the random store next door.
weird location - not downtown nor near the beach. honestly don’t know what makes this place is so popular because it cannot possibly be the facilities.
stayed in the female dorms. fellow travellers were cool, the room was not. for starters the ac was broken so we all had to sweat out every night. the mattress was so soft and saggy my tailbone complained every morning. someone left open food and drinks for days, and staff never cleared it. I was there four nights.
there were plenty of showers and bathrooms- even some private ones but the standard of cleanliness just ain’t that high. i mean there was literally a bottle of tomato sauce among the shampoos the entire time i was there. like what?
rooftop bar is okay. i did like chilling there. but not super clean. quite a few ants. food was overpriced and underwhelming. no water refills. early check in costs extra.
daily activity board oversells itself. wake up drink is black coffee. welcome drink is 4-5pm, when nobody is around (it’s perfect beach time), and is a watered down cocktail. the detox jug of cucumber water is always running low and they don’t refill it.
i admit i am a complainer - it’s liveable and there seems to be a steady stream of backpackers coming in and out. but i wouldn’t...
Read moreWonderful hostel. I would rate it in the top 5 hostels of my lifetime of travelling. What I liked most was the friendly and relaxed attitude of the owner and staff. I also really liked the other guests and had long and interesting conversations with them. I made some new friends. The hostel offers many tours including a bicycle tour for 100 000 Dong which I will strongly recommend. I would also recommend the hotpring tour and Cham island tour. There are free bicycles and scooters to rent. The staff are very outgoing and professional and can all speak English. There is a Spa where you can get a very good full body massage which really relaxed my muscles . There is a small splashpool upstairs for cooling down, and which is ideal for sipping your cocktail or beer. The kitchen menu is simple yet delicious. The beef burger is very nice and also the avocado toast. I recommend the cold and creamy coconut coffee. The bar has a happy hour. What's also cool are the games played at night like 30 seconds and a quiz night. The rooms are clean and the private rooms have Netflix. I suggest renting the private room with the twin beds. During Tet there was a free year end meal. They helped me organize a shuttle to the airport at 05:30...
