Once a grand villa, the hotel doesn’t shine like the new ones anymore but still offers good value for money. Especially if you travel with your family and prefer to have a homestay with a shared fully-equipped kitchen, this hotel is a good deal for you. The owner restarted the hospitality business recently, so there is nothing besides a basic room service There is a small parking space at the front.
Location: only 5 min walk to the My Khe beach (the locals call it the T-20 beach). With its crystal clear aquamarine water, fine sands and very gentle slopes, My Khe beach is one of the best beaches of Vietnam. If you want to experience higher waves, you should go earlier in the morning. Towards noon and early afternoon, the sea is much calmer (in summer). Like everywhere on the coast, there are many cafes, restaurants and fruits and juices stands just a short walk away. You can also find some higher end cafes and bakeries at the street corners. For affordable convenient stores, you have to lookup a bit, but there are there definitely.
Service: only basic room service
Staff: they are friendly and trying to be helpful but not very knowledgeable IMO. I don’t know whether they can speak English, but if you need assistance, I don’t think this kind of hotels are for you anyway.
Room: our room is quite spacious but the wallpaper is unfortunately in dark tone. The bathroom is spacious too unlike bathrooms in cheap hotels.
Cleanness and sleep quality: our room was clean but the other one I checked previously had a musty smell. The pillow was not as comfortable as I hoped (a bit too unwieldy). The air-con was working properly and kept you cool at night. I prefer a quiet room and I got one looking away from the street and it was very quiet. The hotel situates itself in a quiet backstreet.
Amenity: basic amenities like toothbrushes, hair comb, cotton swabs and sleepers are available. Their shampoo and shower gels are also not bad with a nice citrus scent. I could not find a hairdryer because I didn’t need one, but I’m sure you can ask. The Wi-Fi is free and relative fast and stable. No pool or spa. The hotel needs some maintenance work here and there.
Conclusion: it’s best for a family homestay. For budget travelers, you can look for cheaper hotels just one...
Read moreThe rooms are very clean, there is a very nice and anticipating staff and breakfast was perfectly fine. You could choose between different meals, e.g the international breakfast eggs with some bread or even noodle bowls ( my quang) . I‘ve never left hotel hungry :)
Location is very close to the beach, only some minutes ( less than 5 min.) of walking away.
I’d book a room again, if another trip to Da Nang...
Read moreWaterpressure in the shower was very very low. There were holes in the roof in the bathroom. I didn’t mind them but it was still a little bit sketchy. Closet seems to be real wood? It smelled really strong and I didn’t want to leave my clothes in there. I paid approx. 200k VND per night. Value for this money was good. Wouldn’t pay more. Location was good. Close to the beach and touristy area. Staff...
