King Kong Hostel Da Lat — Hotel in Da Lat City

Male, blonde European bartender on the top floor bar had absolutely zero regard for a paying guest minding his own business trying to enjoy their balloon. An outside guest, not staying at Kim Cuong House that was brought back to the hostel from the maze bar popped my balloon on purpose, ran away and giggled like it funny.. Giving the opportunity to the barmaid to rectify the situation for a paying guest - room, laundry services, food, and drinks - he claimed he didn’t “see it,” and that I need to buy another balloon. Poor customer service and allowing immature outside guest get away with absolute disrespect. Grabbing and popping a balloon out of my hand is no different than slapping a drink out of my hands. Other than that, there is no bathroom where you can easily brush your teeth with a mirror for the dorms, nor is there even hand soap... The showers are disgusting and there isn’t hot water, you have to walk through on the street to get to them. The hostel vibes are far from good. The 6th story bar is very clicky as they recruit outside guest from the maze bar. It’s also completely closed off, no windows, filthy, and your shoes literally stick to the ground from all the dried alcohol. Id say you’re better off staying somewhere else unless you enjoy partying with a handful of immature children...

Slept in the hallway because it was overbooked. This can happen but we slept overthere with 8 other people, so why do you still have rooms available on websites?!

Yes it was on the tet holiday but how can this happen to so many people? Checked it by hostelworld and they replied and said that the fault was by the owner for not shutting down the available rooms on hostelworld.

Shared the bathroom in de common area which got dirty because everyone used it. We slept on the 3th floor and looked straight into the dentist. Black mold on the ceiling on multiple places. There is no key to entering the building so everybody can come inside. So when you are sleeping in the hallway everybody can touche your belongings.

Bad experience but the staff where friendly. The manager of the place told us that because we paid almost 10 dollar deposit he will give us a discount. Instead of 200.000 pp we paid 150.000 but the other people in the hallway also paid 150.000 and they didn’t paid 10 euro deposit. So unsure about the discount.

Wanted to right an honest review on hostelworld but at the day we checked out, the reservation was suddenly canceld. So we could not wright a review on the this platform.
