Little Vietnam Hotel Restaurant — Hotel in Hải Phòng

I asked for a dish of steamed rice and sauteed vegetables and I got the steamed rice, but the "vegetables" were just some boiled soaky tasteless cabbage (of all things) cut in huge chunks in a small dish, and a bowl of clear -also tasteless- chicken broth. The lady was very kind (perhaps she saw something in my eyes when I realized that was the dish, even when I actively tried to show a pocker face, because I don't think it was her fault at all) and offered me 2 fried eggs in order to compensate for the unachieved dish, and yes they were very good (thank you lady). But for that price you can eat much better anywhere else. I would have rather just have a bowl of Phò if I knew that in advance. My boyfriend got the vermicelli with sauteed vegetables and they were good. Only one page of the menu was available to order, but from my experience, I don't think they even had everything in that page, so ask first. Like, really ask first. We just came from Ha Noi and needed a place to stay. We booked for something small and cozy on Airbnb. We arrived and the host was exceptional. She was very helpful. She saw that my partner was limping due to a knee injury and began helping us look for crutches on the island. The first night we had to stay kn the 2nd floor, but after that night she helped us get a room on the 1st floor(not ground). This helped us in being able to get to our room easier. She made a makeshift cane for now until we got crutches. She was helpful in dropping us off in locations where we didn't need to rent the bike. She also let us rent her bike for other days when we did need them.

Her team helped us with our itinerary to the airport which was easy going through them. They also help book guides and tours around Cat Ba.

I recommend staying here. It's on the affordable side, and the host made us feel at home. As we departed we all gave each other a hug and a "See you later". Would definitely come back...

Perfect place while staying on the island. It is located in the very center, it is at a very good price. The lady managing the place was very polite and helpful. She explained everything to us and on the day of departure she allowed us to leave our luggage under the camera after leaving the room so that we could take advantage of the area.
