Bánh mì Domik — Restaurant in Hải Phòng

I do not understand all the 5 star reviews. This was some of the blandest food I have had in Vietnam. The Banh Mi (if you can call it that) had a few slices of cucumber and very dry chicken, there was no pate, carrot, coriander, and next to no flavour. The seafood fried noodles had maybe two prawns, the flavour was very bland. Hungry for more after the bread with chicken, I ordered a spaghetti with beef and tomato and it was cooked fine but the flavour was so mid it tasted like they just poured canned tomatoes into a pan with beef, there was hardly any sauce to the pasta. Just spaghetti with clumps of ground beef and tomato peel. I came here because of all the positive reviews but left very dissatisfied. There was even a tourist outside the restaurant who gave a glowing recommendation of the food. I was lured to this place by the nice looks of the restaurants and the great reviews. However, I have to say that the food and drinks were quite dissapointing. There is a wide range of options, which is nice. I think it is a nice place if you are vegan or vegetarian! We ordered the Milano pizza and vegan bun soup, together with a pineapple juice and iced coconut coffee. Both drinks had a weird aftertaste, unlike other drinks we have had so far in Vietnam. The pizza took a very long time, I was already done with my food when my friend got it. The waiters were sweet and polite and did their best. Yet they don't seem to speak a word of English so communicating was a bit difficult when they first gave a different drink than the one I ordered. The restaurant looks...

I got three tasty dumplings and two competent smoothies for 5 euros. The ladies working there are so friendly and treated me with huge respect. Returned with other people in the following days because I felt the need to show the place and let them try the food, everyone loved the vegan dumplings and even when checking out from their hotels they took them away for the trip!
