Namia Resort is a beautifully designed, newly opened hideaway near Hoi An – peacefully located, tastefully furnished, and thoughtfully conceived throughout. From the quiet setting to the stylish villas, the excellent service and high-quality food, everything comes together to create a truly relaxing experience. We especially appreciated the calm atmosphere, the friendly yet discreet staff, and the little details (too many to list) that made all the difference. A perfect choice for anyone who values tranquility, design, and comfort.
Location Namia Resort is idyllically located on a small peninsula, surrounded by water on both sides – a true nature retreat. The setting is lush and peaceful, making it ideal for relaxing. Yet it’s only a ten minute bike ride from the charming town of Hoi An, and easily accessible from both Da Nang and Hoi An. Despite being close to everything, the resort feels secluded – no noise, no hustle, just peace and greenery.
Accommodation You can immediately tell that the resort is very new – likely just a few months old. Everything is in excellent condition, with modern and tasteful interior design. We really liked the bright and friendly atmosphere of the villas. Cleanliness was impeccable. We especially liked the subtle but distinct scents throughout the resort – each area, from the villa to the spa, restaurant, and bar, had its own pleasant fragrance. The floor-level bathtub in the villa was another highlight. Overall, the villas are a place where you feel comfortable right away.
Service The service at Namia Resort was one of its biggest strengths. Right from the arrival, you notice things are done differently: instead of a typical reception, you’re welcomed in a pavilion overlooking next to a lake, with cozy seating. It’s a lovely and relaxed way to start your stay. The entire team was very friendly and attentive, finding just the right balance – always available, but never intrusive. Every guest is assigned a personal staff member who acts as a go-to person for anything needed throughout the stay – from arranging excursions to handling check-in and check-out. The spa and massage team also left a great impression. The treatments were professionally executed and of high quality. We felt very well cared for in the spa.
Food Breakfast was a highlight at Namia Resort. Served as a buffet, it offers a well-curated international selection – there’s something for everyone. On top you have the option to request freshly prepared items or Vietnamese classics like Pho. You simply speak to the staff, and they’ll try to accommodate your wishes right away. We especially enjoyed the freshly pressed juices and the outstanding coffee made by the in-house barista – the iced Vietnamese coconut coffee is a must-try. The food quality was consistently excellent, fresh. Presentation was also lovely. Service was fast and discreet – used dishes were cleared quickly without interrupting the experience. All in all, a great way to start the day, both in taste and atmosphere.
In addition to breakfast, the resort offers two à la carte restaurants for lunch and dinner: one specializing in seafood and the other in Vietnamese fusion cuisine. Both are of high quality. Dinner then stands out for its more personal service and its elegant ambiance, which adds a touch of charm compared to the buffet setting in the morning. It’s a perfect way to wind down the day in a beautiful atmosphere with good food and attentive staff.
Conclusion What makes Namia Resort special isn’t one single moment, but the overall consistency in quality and harmony of the experience.
Worth mentioning: Namia Resort is not part of a major hotel chain – it’s privately owned, and that is felt throughout. To us it felt as if the owner family was dedicated to creating something special. That warmth and authenticity set it apart from other luxury brands.
Many thanks to our host Phat and the whole Namia staff, you made it truly special!
PS: We would have loved to take take a little Namia (the room scent) home with us! If that is possible...

You can tell Namia has thoughtfully designed all experiences in this resort. Aesthetically, I loved the natural, grounding colors & elements used throughout-- details big and small, ranging from the architecture, villa amenities, restaurant table/silverware, and even the staff uniforms, just to name a few! It's a literal oasis from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
That said, none of this would matter without the people( ie. staff) at Namia. Their warmth and gentleness invite us to fully relax.
It was my first-ever solo trip so I felt a little anxious before coming, but my host, Quynh, made me feel like I had a sister/ friend here in Hoi An; I felt safe, supported, and cared for during my entire 6-days and 5-nights stay. Even though we met only briefly in person, she was always quick to respond through WhatsApp, and always in the most patient and friendly, enthusiastic way. My peace of mind here wouldn’t be complete without her.
I also met so many other wonderful staff here, though I didn’t get all of their names, I want to name a few– including Giang in the Welcome Lounge, Thu the spa manager, Trung the bartender, Jasmine the yoga teacher, Marian the wellness/sound healing teacher…and many more! Again, they were all warm, with an air of gentleness. Everyone’s left an imprint in my heart. THANK YOU ALL!
Besides the people, the complimentary SPA here is simply out of this world! I’ve never seen or experienced anything like it. The most memorable is definitely the Hammam experience, where you enter a steam room while the masseur applies a concoction of herbal scrub on your body. I felt like a literal queen and deeply appreciated all of the masseurs’ effort! And of course, all the masseurs’ techniques were great. I’ve already recommended multiple friends and family to come, just to experience the spa.
Other resort activities, like the Sunset Cruise, Morning Bike Ride Tour, Yogas, Sound Healing/ Cold Plunge, Basket Boat…were wonderful as well. I tried to join as many as I could, so it’s hard to describe all of them– You just have to make the most of their offer and experience it yourself!!
Breakfast buffet is varied and fresh. They offer some made-to-order Vietnamese dishes so you can taste the local flavor right inside the resort. For drinks, I particularly enjoyed their coconut coffee, which is almost like a blended ice drink. It's perfect for a hot summer day.
There isn’t anything negative I can say about Namia. I see a lot of people have mentioned the locals’ karaoke noise, but since I stayed at a Nipa Pool villa, it didn’t bother me at all. I felt calm and well rested for my entire stay. The only time I heard the karaoke was while sitting by the bar/ main pool one night, but the imperfection is also the beauty of the experience. (Unless of course, if you are sensitive to noise, you might find that to be problematic. ) Overall I think it’s fine and even kind of humorous You inadvertently learn about how the locals live! Just arrive with the right mindset.
Thank you, everyone at Namia. I felt fully recharged after this stay. I...
Read moreAs a rather difficult/nitpicky traveler, I stayed at Namia for 2 nights with my family. Overall, it was a pleasant stay for us but there were a few minor issues: Nighttime karaoke across from downtown... way too loud for my ears but this was not the resort's fault. They just have bad luck being so close to the source. Soundproofing the villas was the solution so my sleep was not disturbed. Beverage team seems inexperienced with handling bespoke requests from experienced drinkers. I ordered three drinks my first night: a signature, a mezcal margarita, and a second signature. The first was a disaster of a savory drink (I have had savory cocktails as experimental as having parmesan cheese at SG Club in Tokyo, and this was just not it) and the team comped it. The second drink was a mezcal margarita, which was a bespoke order not on menu, and the staff tried to charge me for a shot of cointreau and a shot of mezcal (which would have costed twice their most expensive signature). Later, he revised it to just charging for the mezcal simply because the cointreau was not listed on the menu (still, this is an amateur's mistake). The last was a gin-based highball that was in chartreuse. Quite decent but I think they had poured a little too much maraschino that had accentuated the bitterness. Food wise it was decent. Cheese platter was perfect (I love the cornichon!). Ceviche could have done without the pomelo (which watered out the flavor). The cracker dish served with a sweet potato puree was bland and could have just been the typical Vietnamese cracker. Steak with caramelized onions was great although the team rushed my order and gave me bleu instead of medium-rare as I have requested. Internet was an issue. I was trying to stream a movie on my second afternoon and download speed was too weak. Team tried to resolve it but by the time they got to me, it was time for another plan in the day. While waiting for the spa I did some kids craft at the children's room. That was fun and staff stayed the entire team. Spa was the highlight. Hammam was nice and the subsequent massage was great. I had picked cupping for the second portion and unfortunately the therapist had briefly let the fire went too close to my hand. I did not get a blister or burn after but momentarily it really dampened the already great spa experience. Rooms were spotless and housekeeping team is truly attentive with the turndown (even a bit intrusive since we were decompressing around 6PM). Pool was great. I had a great night swim. We had a friend in Da Nang who insisted we took their car. It was cumbersome to have it on this trip but Namia had valet and the porter was great. Free minibar in the room was another highlight. I liked the mango. They are new so I think these issues are completely acceptable. Would...
