HongHome Nguyen Cu Trinh — Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

I stayed at HongHome for 1 year and 2 months. My initial contract was just 2 months, and HongHome was very accommodating — I was able to extend month to month, which really helped since I was renewing my e-visa every 90 days without having to commit to a 6-month or 1-year lease.

The apartment is in a great location, very close to everything you need (just a few steps away) — cafes, pharmacies, eateries, convenience stores, and even a big bookstore called Phuong Nam Book City. If you like reading like I do, it’s super easy to visit. Parks are also accessible within a few minutes by walk or bike. The neighbors are friendly — they smile at you, and sometimes even the aunties will talk to you, even if you don’t understand a word they’re saying 😁. Overall, the area feels very safe and doesn’t flood.

My room was a decent size — clean and spacious. On busy days, it can get a bit noisy, but most of the time it’s pretty quiet. Room cleaning and laundry were done twice a week, which was great, but the cleaning could be improved. Sometimes obvious spots were missed, and a few times the sheets or pillowcases still had stains even though they’d been washed.

The only thing I didn’t like was the occasional power outage, which is out of anyone’s control. But usually, it came back around 5 or 6 PM.

We stayed at HongHome for about six weeks, and had a great time. The staff are super friendly, the price is good, and the location is great. There's an amazing coffee place on the main street (literally a minute walk from the apartment) and a great smoothie place around the corner. Plus, a lot of restaurants nearby. Loved staying here. Felt like you take a left and you get more of a local feel and you take a right and easily reach your more fancy places. Had everything you need eg washer, dryer iron and the room included regular cleaning. Asked receptionist if they had a scale and she asked me what it’s for and asked for my suitcase the next day she gave me a scale specifically for the luggage.
