Very bizarre and disappointing experience with Worldwide Dental Hospital. I had originally contacted them while overseas after a three-unit bridge anchored to two implants detached. I decided to wait until my return to Vietnam to have a replacement made/placed and chose this clinic based upon research I did. I had read the clinic's owner/director was a highly accomplished and experienced implantologist who built a large practice and thought this would be a great place. I contacted and began text messaging a customer representative from the clinic and sent her the original surgical notes with the information about the type of implants I had with a recent x-ray from the exam I had in Poland. I received an appointment for the day after my flight's arrival in Vietnam, and was even give a cost quote/estimate for the new bridge. At the clinic before the appointment, I met the customer representative and was informed my appointment with the director would be only be consultive/evaluative as he no longer worked on patients and that after a treatment plan was made, another doctor would be performing the actual work. OK, I'm here and thought nothing wrong with continuing on with the process. I met director, an elderly gentleman with an obvious slow gait and manner of articulation. His memory also seemed very bad. OK, I thought to myself, he is only helping make the treatment plan and won't be doing the actual. But I became very concerned after he told me he had to find out the information about what implants I had. I had sent them the information previously, he read the original surgical report with this information right in front of my eyes, and I actually verbally repeated this information to him. He looked me surprised that I knew the implant company's name. When he told me about needing the information again and I had to tell him it again and even point it out on the report, I really became concerned about my decision to come here. His assistant had the most embarrassed look on her face I had ever seen. OK, I am over 60 myself and want to be a respectful person. I felt pity for this man not anger. I was given another appointment for a week later to review a treatment plan they promised to make. I contacted the customer representative that same day and asked who would be the doctor doing the actual work on my mouth and requested they be there for my next appointment. I was assured he would be. I did begin researching other clinics and came up with a back-up plan. I'm glad I did that. When I came for the follow-up appointment at Worldwide, I was kept waiting a half hour beyond scheduled time. Finally I was told by that same elderly doctor that they simply don't have the tools to work with my implants and they couldn't help me. I was angry that they wasted my time for a week and kept me waiting for an appointment to discuss work they had no intention of doing. What arrogance! Anyway, still wanting to be respectful, I quietly left and went straight to that back-up clinic without an appointment. I was immediately seen there, had x-rays taken, and with in two hours, this new clinic had healing abutments with the needed tools/instruments delivered and placed. I have these abutments in my mouth as I write this the day after my final appointment with Worldwide Dental Hospital. I don't know why Worldwide couldn't or wouldn't do this other clinic did and could only guess at...
Read moreI had coffee-stained teeth and hadn’t visited my local (Melbourne) dentist in several years so was nervous about the outcome. I arrived in Ho Chi Minh without any dental plans, but had Worldwide recommended to me from when my relatives visited 6 months prior. So I gave it a try. I arrived in HCM on Saturday, messaged via whatsapp and arranged an appointment for Monday (can’t stress how easy this was to arrange compared to wait times in Australia - took about 5 minutes to lock in an appointment - so easy).
I came on Monday and had a general checkup, clean, and 3 fillings for $88. Couldn’t believe how cheap it was. The dentist (Dr Hieu) was friendly, caring, and had the patience of a saint with all my questions (gave really clear and honest explanations), and spoke excellent english (I had Google Translate app ready on my phone just in case, but never ended up needing it).
As soon as I got back to the hotel, I whatsapp’d the clinic to arrange whitening, they had availability the very next day so I went on Tuesday. No epic wait times like in some Australian cities! This was a bit more expensive - $288 - they used a Phillips Zoom kit (same as most good dental clinics in Melbourne use, typically $1000+ in Aus). The dentist and assistant were very attentive throughout the ~ 75 minute process (I have slightly sensitive teeth/gums so it was great that they suggested modifying the procedure slightly to accommodate my sensitive teeth, but I suggested we try without modification - Dr Hieu said okay, but to let her know if my teeth became sensitive so she could adjust the procedure). I got through the 4 x 15 minute sessions without any problems.
The results were incredible. My teeth were very noticeably whiter. They had not looked this white in over 20 years! Quite incredible.
I couldn’t be happier with the results. Until visiting Worldwide I had no idea how fast (
Read moreHaving had dental problems for many years due to heavy night grinding much of my entire upper and lower teeth were eroded front and back and missing teeth from failed root canals. After my last dental visit in September I walked away with an incorrect and uncomfortable bridge and told there was nothing more they could do.
From a friends recommendation and with nothing to lose I got in touch with Worldwide Dental & Plastic Surgery Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City it has been one of the best decisions I have made and couldn’t be happier. A clean hospital with state of the art technology, from on site OPG X-ray machine and laboratory making everything seamless with an amazing team that provide excellence, quality, care and always with a smile.
My first point of contact was Dep who took care of everything from the beginning up until we left. Thank you Dep for organising, scheduling of my appointments, the follow up messages to make sure I was fine, everything ran smoothly and seamlessly and always with a smile.
I was treated by Dr Alyssa whose dentistry is of the highest calibre. She explained my treatment and always checking in to make sure I was comfortable during the process. A professional with meticulous attention to detail, dentistry with perfection. Her dental nurse was great making sure I was comfortable during my treatments, the lab technician included in some of the consults instilled greater confidence and knew I was in great hands. I had 20 Crowns, 2 bridges, 1 root canal, a very comfortable night guard. I can not thank you enough…what a great team.
Over the next couple days during my dental appointments, I saw the standards, quality, skills professionalism including the hospitals facilities I felt comfortable and safe to get upper and lower Blepharoplasty and no longer wanting fillers I used fat transfer.
A BIG thank you to Dr.Anh and her entire medical team you were all amazing, provided support when I was really scared! For all my fright there was Zero pain afterwards, it was performed under general sedation I didn’t feel a thing. I’m back home now everything healing really well your great work is showing through, I couldn’t be happier with my re-fresh 🙏
Thank you Worldwide for being affordable a dream which I thought was out of reach on both occasions. A great hospital that offers extensive, highly skilled professional services all under one roof. My highest recommendation to anyone wanting work done.
