Thế Giới Tàu Hũ — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

As a lover of tofu, this is superb. Just finished a few tofu dishes and munchies, missing them already.

I thought each tofu dish is small, but no, they brought out a good-sized bowl of mixed tofu and a bowl of crushed ice on the side. The first bite of tofu was just the right sweetness, beautiful sense of coconut juice, and the tofu was soft and tasty. Then, I added ice, and oh boy, it was refreshingly satisfying. We ordered "tàu hũ thập cẩm, 32K VND" and "tàu hũ lá dứa sầu riêng, 40K VND." Both were very good. We ended up ordering another "tàu hũ lá dứa sầu riêng" again. This tofu place is worth visiting again.

Even the free cup of water has the pandan leave smell. Nice.

The other dishes (hot-type, khọt tôm, gỏi khô bò) were ok.

Price: very reasonable

Atmosphere: pleasant, clean, air-conditioned first floor

Service: excellent

Food: very tasty

Hope they can maintain this condition for a long time and that my first experience isn't unique, but normal mode of operation. I came at around 2 PM on a Sunday. There were other guests hanging...

Came to this place after seeing great reviews on Google. Large menu with lots of options at an affordable price from 20k - 49k

The place itself is all local customers, and the staff don’t speak English which can make ordering a little difficult. Probably best to point at the image of the dish you’d like on the menu (photo attached). There was a miscommunication and I was given the wrong dish, which took a lot of back and forth on Google translate to sort out.

You get some sort of sweet tea/water when you sit down and they take your order upstairs. Cosy atmosphere and lots of seating on a Saturday night.

As for the dessert, I ordered Tàu hũ thàp cám which was basically a silken tofu base, with lod chong (Thai green pandan noodle), black pearls, taro cubes, red bean, ginger, and taro balls. Served in some sort of coconut/condensed milk soup. You can add the ice if you like, I recommend. You can add on extra toppings as well - bottom right hand side section of menu.

Would recommend trying it out if you like...

Before describing how was the food quality, let’s talk about the environment. The space is small like typical places in Saigon; however, the decoration is overwhelming. It has too many furniture; therefore, it blocks the walkway. I got tripped and got bleeding foot. I was also carrying my little daughter while I was walking to the restroom. Fortunately, she only has a scratch on the foot. As for the food, it was nothing special. I thought other desserts are much better. This is just a pricy...
