Ky Hoa Hotel — Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

I needed to be near Queen Plaza Ky Hoa for a tattoo convention and Ky Hoa Guest House came up in a random search. I stayed in Room 406 for three nights. It was spotless. The staff are friendly, though they didn't have a lot of English. The security guard outside was attentive and will warn guests not to take out cameras and phones in the streets because of snatch thieves. There are two friendly dogs who will welcome and greet you. They stay with the security guards.||||The location is off the main street, so it's very nice and quiet. It is literally 3 minutes' walk to Queen Plaza Ky Hoa, and you wouldn't have to cross the main road. ||||There are loads of street food vendors and eateries around. Go for the street food. The room was ok but the drain for the shower was barely draining so when you would take a shower, the entire bathroom would be flooded for a while. Also, their breakfast options were bad. Their banh canh was the worst banh canh I’ve ever tasted in my entire life. It tasted like the cook was smoking a cigarette or dropped their cigarette in the soup. I only took one bite and knew it was enough. Also, I was gonna get some vegetables to put with my noodles and cha gio until I saw that there were ants crawling around all of the vegetables?? Today, my boyfriend and I booked a room for few hours. The receptionist was a girl in yellow shirt giving us a normal room. We have been using the hotel services several times, but this time was really bad. We just stayed for more than 1 hour, this girl called asked us to leave or exchange the room quickly because it had been booked by another? We were so confused cause we were not informed the information before booking.
