I hope anyone reading this review will not book or stay this hotel. I want to share my worse hotel experience ever. The hotel is badly infected with bed bugs. On the next morning, I quickly informed the reception to change room but they told me hotel is full and not able to have other rooms for me. So they say they will sort out the mattress before I come back that night which I thought they had but apparently they did not as I got even more nasty bites the following day. My entire body and face are covered in red, swollen bed bugs bites. It was so painful and I tried to call the owner to inform him of what had happened to me. As someone running my own business and in the service line for years, I never wrote bad reviews because I believe everyone is trying to make a living(although I was already so depressed in my condition), I tried to speak calmly with the owner about what happened was really unacceptable as I have given them a chance to solve the bed bugs issue but it still is same the following day. To my horror, he begin shouting at me over the phone and slammed down the phone on me. He showed that he have zero compassion for his customers apparently. He could have just said sorry that this happen and would do something about it. A little apology wouldn’t make me felt even more sad about my situation. I looked at my arms and legs now and I want to cry. The bite marks is going to continue to itch for a another week and leave me black scars that will take months to recover. Imagine I had brought my little boy to this holiday with me? He would also have been covered in bites too.||||This is really unacceptable. The owner is super rude. To start with, I had booked the biggest residence room with 1 queen bed, 1 double bed and a sofa bed. Yet when I arrived, the owner has insisted that I need to top up more money because the room is only for 2 person. It is so ridiculous, common sense would be booking a normal double room if I only have 2 person to stay. I said fine, I will top up more money to have 4 person stay. Feels like this owner would only care about making money and not his clients well being and satisfaction. Totally disappointed with Saigon by night hotel. Don’t be fooled by the nice photos. The hotel doesn’t even look that great, apparently the rooms are dirty and the owner is such a...
Read moreThis hotel is called a number of different things & is difficult to find on any review sites. We booked on booking.com where it is called boutique luxury hotel. ||We booked 4 rooms last minute after our original hotel had overbooked. The pictures on booking.com are NOT of this hotel but are from a magazine shoot & still have the watermark on them. ||The rooms were not of the standard advertised & were in poor condition with wires on show, poor air conditioning and mould growing in corners. When we asked to move rooms because of the mould smell he told us to open the balcony doors! We asked to swap rooms & were told that the hotel was fully booked, despite being given several different keys when we initially arrived.||Upon arrival our passports were taken from us & we were then told they would only be returned once we had paid (nowhere else has done this). After all checking our rooms & discussing options we decided not to stay & all went down to reception together. We told him about all the issues & asked why the pictures on the website were different to the reality. His excuse was that these were the old rooms - clearly not true! We repeatedly told him we wouldn’t be staying & he told us we had to stay one night, then we could check out. When we said no, he would not give us our passports back until we paid £50 per room. We eventually paid it, just to get out of there. When he took the money off us he smirked before giving us our passports. He clearly does it a lot. Really bad experience for our first night in Ho Chi Minh. Avoid this place...
Read moreWe arrived at the hotel after 11 pm. The receptionist asked us to pay at check-in, but none of the 3 cards worked, even though we used 1 of them to pay for the taxi at the airport. Then the man said we could pay in the morning and till then he kept our passports. The room turned out to be not the one we've booked, because they gave it to someone else. Because of the personnel's attitude we decided not to stay for 2 nights and to check out the next day. But the manager insisted on paying for 2 nights, plus they added some extra charges to the final cost that came out of nowhere. They kept our passports till we paid and blackmailed us as if we could sneak out with 2 heavy suitcases. After a long argument we paid the bill in full, and this time the card worked (surprise!).|We had the booking at the same hotel for our return journey, which we of course cancelled and booked a room in a good place with a nice personnel and lower cost.|P.S. After my husband posted this review on booking.com, the the hotel closed its page and created a new one with a slightly changed name - Saigon by Night BOUTIQUE hotel, cancelled our booking and replied to booking.com that we've never stayed at their hotel, even though we have pics from the room and a bank statement that shows the amount paid to that hotel. |Saigon by Night hotel had quite low rating on booking.com, but I didn't pay much attention, and that turned out to be a bad experience on our first trip to Vietnam. Next time I'm gonna trust the bad reviews of others before...
