I had 4 days and 3 nights stay with my friends at Ngoc Tung hotel. We booked 2 rooms on 4th floor||The hotel is ran by young man and his family. During my time at the hotel,Seem like he just take money and leave us do whatever we want. No advice or any guide for us. ||The only thing that he asked me is "Do you want to rent a bike?" instead of asking me to have breakfast that included in my hotel booking. ||And 3 days after we dont have much conversation with the hotel owner. ||On the 2nd day, the drain in our toilet was cloged. I asked the staffs to unclog but they didnt help, that make us disappointed to wait a time until the drain is uncloged itself||In addition, No cleaning for our room for 4 days.||A good point is the location of the hotel is near Hue Imperial Citadel, walking Street, Huong River.||||||||Arriving at Hue south bus station in the pouring rain with no booking, I walked into the hostel and was welcomed as if I was a long lost friend. Was given hot tea and assurance that there was a room available and for a very acceptable price. My private double was large and comfortable with ensuite bath and shower. Bed was perfect for a good nights sleep, shower was hot and the room clean. During my stay, the super friendly staff were only interested in my utmost satisfaction, offering advice on food, places of interest and a free bike and wanting to know all about myself and my travels. The young boys are very intelligent, talented and genuine. The owners are wonderful people who simply get that their customers are #1. To my way of thinking, Rubis is not a hostel but a beautiful guesthouse close to the bus station down a small street run by sweet, caring people with an outstanding staff. Should I go to Hue in the future, that is where...
Read moreAfter waiting over an hour at the airport for the “hotel shuttle “ service to pick us up (as pre-arranged), we decided it was best to make our own way to this hotel.|On arrival we were greeted by young lady who unfortunately was unable to speak a word of English , therefore google translate came in very handy when voicing our annoyance at the situation . We were shown to our room, that was covered wall to wall in mould , again using google translate we managed to request a change of room. At least they had attempted to wipe the mould off the walls in this room , even if they did leave big streaks and smears all over it. There were a number of times where we requested the assistance of the receptionist /manager , in order to speak with her, the very kind cleaning lady would stick her head through a door behind the front desk and the receptionist would appear in her pyjamas yawing , with what can only be described as a severe case of bed hair ! |It’s a shame that the rooms are so damp and dated as the building is very quirky and is in a great location that is convenient to access the local sights and amenities. The only advice I would give if you choose to stay in this hotel is to keep all your clothes covered as the dampness in the rooms saturated all of our...
Read moreThe room I got is alright with a balcony view. There are some mark traces on the wall but overall the hygiene standard is still acceptable.||It comes as a very low cost so I was expecting a hostel standard, but it is actually a notch better and like its name suggests, it's basically an entry-level mini hotel with private bathroom and some amenities like towels, toothbrushes and toothpastes already included. But there was no soap(?) or perhaps they forgot to stock it.||Service standard is very basic. You will get an accommodation, but don't expect much else.||The lady was unable to speak English but used Google Translate to communicate. The young man who runs it can only speak very basic English but okay for...
