Nhà Hàng Chay Tịnh Quán — Restaurant in Hue City

While the food was good here it was a bit of a toss up what you would get. We went here twice. Staff were nice but a little incompetent. The first time I ordered curried tofu which was decent and my friend ordered mixed vegetables with tofu but what he got was a plate of morning glory with garlic. Which we decided to not complain about.

The next time we went he tried to order the same thing but specifically asked if they had it and that he did not want morning glory! Well they told him that was ok... but 10 minutes later they brought out the morning glory dish. This time he put his feet down and refused the dish. The called the manager over and he explained they didn’t have the dish after talking to the chef. So instead he ended up getting the mushroom porridge(which is what I got). A bit difficult to find because there were a bunch of other restaurants near by with similar names, but this one you had to walk into a drive way and its a part of a hotel - which i didn’t realize. As soon as I found it, the place was very clean, a few people there, there was free wifi (no password) and menus on the table. I ordered Pho Kho which was alright, I just didn’t realize the broth wasn’t a proper broth. The noodles and tofu had nice flavor and it was only 35k dong. Most of the menu is in the range. I don't know how it is possible but this place is almost too good to be true. The food there is really cheap and at the same time it is so delicious we ended up eating there every day and did not go to any other place. We've tried quite a few things and liked everything, The waiter was so smiley and nice! Great service and the place is beautiful, new and clean. I still can't work out why the food there is so cheap because you would expect much higher prices in a place of such a high standard :) If you are in Hue this is definitely a place to be! IG...
