We had a very nice time staying with Miku and her family. ☺️ We had a private room with view over the valley and our own bathroom. We enjoyed being a little away from the road and bustle of shops. But it was still super accessible with numerous villages and shops just short walks away. We did a village trek with Miku’s mum, Mama Zen, the cutest older lady which showed us around with great enthusiasm. One of the evenings we had dinner with Miku’s family which was very delicious. Miku was also so kind to accommodate with vegan breakfast (noodle soup) and we got our laundry done with them as well. The only thing we have to point out is that the madras was very hard but based on our experience that seems to be a common thing here in Vietnam.

Wir hatten das unglaubliche Erlebnis, in Mikus House zu übernachten. Ursprünglich hatten wir für 2 Tage gebucht, sind aber letztendlich 6 Tage geblieben. Die Gastfreundschaft von Miku und ihrer Familie ist wirklich einzigartig und nicht an jeder Ecke zu finden. SaPa ist ein Bergdorf auf ca. 1500m Höhe, daher sollte man sich warme Kleidung einpacken. Als wir mit dem Bus aus Laos ankamen, hatten wir eine Unterkunft gebucht, die 25 Minuten vom Zentrum entfernt lag. Zunächst dachten wir, dass es ein Fehler war, aber am Ende war es das Beste, um dem Trubel der Stadt zu entkommen. Miku hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen, nachdem unsere vorherige Unterkunft vor Ort nach 2 Tagen ausgebucht war. Wir hatten das ganze Haus für uns alleine, da sich nicht viele Reisende hierher verirren, da es etwas versteckt liegt. Jeden Tag wurden wir bekocht, egal zu welcher Uhrzeit. Es gab kostenloses Wasser und alles wurde vor Ort organisiert und das zu wirklich günstigen Preisen. Wir hatten Roller vom Stadtzentrum gemietet und Miku ist extra mit uns gefahren, damit wir wieder sicher zurückkommen konnten - ohne irgendeinen Cent zu verlangen. Die Kinder von Miku leben ebenfalls in dem Haus, was dazu beitrug, dass wir ein richtig nettes Familienleben hier erleben durften. Es war einfach nur schön hier zu sein und ich würde jedem empfehlen, der SaPa besucht, hier einzukehren und die gleiche Fürsorge genießen zu können. Ich möchte mich auch noch einmal für die hauseigene Apotheke bedanken, die mir nach meinem Rollersturz schnell wieder auf die Beine geholfen hat.

We stayed with Miku for only two nights it was not enough. She is a fantastic hostess took us for a trek at no extra cost, breakfast and sit around family dinning table for evening dinner with her family at no extra cost, if you want a real home stay experience with a beautiful person stay here. Spectacular rural scene with roaring stream next to house, so the sound was like a downpour which I found soothing. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Stop looking for accomodations and BOOK at Miku's place! It is the best Guest House to stay at near Lao Chai village. Miku is a great host and you'll get to learn a lot about Hmong culture with her. She is a lot of fun also and her friend Hang is a beautiful person as well. We are very happy and thankful to have met them :) :) Her place is in a very quiet place up the hill, but still near to Ta Van and Lao Chai villages. The views from the room are beautiful and the size of the room is UNIQUE. There's no other guest house with such a big room and the spectacular views from within the bedroom and from the big balcony where you can enjoy your Viet coffee. Breakfast is also very good!!! Miku's Chill House is the perfect place to experience some time away from big cities and crowds while enjoying nature and cultural exchange with local people. You can also book trecking tours and Family Dinner with Miku which we really recommend! We ended up staying for a week! We loved it!

All in all, Miku's place is the perfect local Guest House to stay at and enjoy the real experience with Hmong...

One of the best and most authentic accommodations I’ve stayed in so far. Miku & her family are very helpful and welcoming and I felt so comfortable here. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and tidy and the (free) breakfast and dinner they offer was yummy. My highlight was the trekking tour we booked with them, it was truly stunning and it was nice to get to know more about the places we’ve went to. The Homestay is like a 20min car ride from the city centre, but I didn’t mind that at all as its right at the rice terraces and in the nature. Lovely time here, would recommend it...
