We had a poor experience unfortunatly.

The place is very well placed, a little aside of the main road which is a good point.

The rooms are beautiful, but not fully closed which allow every insects to come in, but is Nice to hear the sounds arround. However a fan is missing for the nights.

The View is also amazing.

We asked the owner for a trek where we could be Just the two of, which she accepted and then went to eat in the village. When we came back she said we were Lucky cause 2 People wanted to join us. We refused this and told her we agreed for a private guide and she finaly accepted to call another guide. Note that the price was not changing, it was Just a chance to get more money...

From there, no more smile for us, we said no to her changing the contract and she seemed pretty unhappy about it.

Surprisingly the next morning they were not 2 People but a family of 4 With 2 childrens that should have come With us, Thanks for the honesty.

If you have the chance to go to Ta Van, go on the mainstreet, they seem to be more...

my experience along with other travellers was that the homestay landloard lady is always trying to sell us tours or anything that fits into our itinerary

rude, money minded, and selfish is what my friends and I have to say about the land lady.

she even had the courage to dismiss a fellow traveller I just met, and cursed EXPLICITLY about her in the vietnamese language, knowing that the traveller cannot understand what she said.

Please consider going elsewhere. At another house stay nearby, the other land lady there, even though we didn’t stay at her placd, was very welcoming with renting us motorbikes at fair value, giving us itinerary suggestions WITHOUT PRYING FOR OUR MONEY (unlike at this place) and cooking us a big dinner at near...

Location is good. Close to the main hiking trails. However, price is hella expensive and not worth it. I paid 28$ (after discount she claimed) for Deluxe room with Mountain View for 1 night and the mattress of the bed isn’t so deluxe (rigid and uncomfortable). I have to note this is the price I paid in Halong for 5 star hotel with fancy breakfast. None of the other home stays charge this much. Totally not justifiable. The food in the restaurant is really good. The sister whom does the cooking is really sweet and cooking class with her was best thing I had. ❤️ I had to change plans and reduce my reservation with one night and it was very hard for the hostess to take no for an answer.
