The hotel room has a formal business feel about it. It has a good comfortable bed, decent shower, and the room feels spacious. There's a good sized TV in the room with FHD picture quality along with some English speaking news channels and a channel dedicated to English films. Housekeeping is done by two buttons and the cleaners were all very cheerful and did a good job of cleaning. There were no problems with noise from my room. The location is really good. It's down an alley which is so well placed it makes it really easy to get to certain points in the city quicker. There are places to eat, shops, massage parlours, and a laundromat in the same alley. From the hotel door to the beach, 5 minutes.
There is a swimming pool, and a very small gym on the top floor.
The room I was in at the side of the building was pretty dark. I had to pop my head out of the window to check the weather. The TV is really good, but if it was a smart TV allowing you to cast your own channels and media to it, it would have been a game changer for sure. I was really surprised the TV didn't have this available because it is good with good speakers too.
There was a bath in my room, but the water was never hot enough to actually have one when I wanted to try. The shower was fine, sanding in the bath to have it didn't work so well. Lots of splashed water going on. The shampoo and shower gel is handed out after each time your room is cleaned. Problem is, it's miniature plastic bottles. Just have some containers in the bathroom and fill them up when needed. It'll make life a lot more convenient. There was a fridge in the room, but I couldn't find any way to make it colder. The temperature was just enough to enjoy your can of Pepsi Max a little bit more.
Overall I would...
Read moreWe had booked our hotel almost 18 months before our arrival. The taxi dropped us off on the main road as it could not get access to the hotel due to construction work on a neighbouring building. First impression of the hotel was good, we soon found out that the hotel was predominantly for Chinese and Russian guests. So English was a bit of a problem. We asked for both rooms to have walk in showers, which they duly changed. Rooms were well presented and modern with good wifi. Beds were very hard , but you get that sometimes. Pool area on the rooftop was small but sufficient for us and the staff were keen to serve and polite.|Breakfast the next day was a very bad experience. As we got out of the lift in the dining room a Chinese guy dragged his throat and spat into the bin right next to us, not the hotels fault, but it set the tone. The only food that catered for westerners was cereals (warm milk), eggs and fruit. The juices were not chilled. They had bacon and sausage, which turned out to be Vietnamese pork and cut up frankfurters. We did not attend breakfast the next day and the manager asked my friend why and he explained the above. I would stay there again but bed only. It must be difficult for hotels to cater for nationalities other than Chinese and Russian as it is a very popular place for them. There are plenty of bars and restaurants around to cater for needs. I have given 3 stars as the rooms are good, located pretty central and helpful staff even though English...
Read moreI do not recommend. I disliked everything in this hotel! The staff was extremely unfriendly since checking in. The corridor is dirty and smelly with all the trash. The rooms, oh lord, the rooms (yes the ROOMS - we booked 4 rooms in total) are sooooo old and you could see mould everywhere. The bathroom is mouldy and nasty. The sink in one of our room stucked on the first day and in another room there was no cold/cool/room temperature water in the shower (whatever you like to call it). When we requested them to fix it, they told us to run the water in the bathtub and wait until it is not hot anymore and blamed it on Russians for liking it hot They did not bother to wash/change the coffee cup when cleaning the room. The breakfast was horrible that we regretted waking up early for it and decided not to eat there after the first morning. The pool is old, sun chairs are broken, the pool water was super thick of chloride. During checking out, I went to their drink stall in front of the hotel and asked to BUY ice and the lady rudely refused to sell so I went ahead to the next door hotel's and they offered me ice free of charge! Not good value for money. This is not at all a 4-star hotel, not even 2 stars! You can easily find a better kept hotel with cheaper price...
