I had a great time staying at Lana Land. The owner, Lana, is such a lovely person. She is very keen to help and can suggest tours and trips in Phu Quoc. There are two dorm options: The double dorm room and the single dorm room. The double dorm has larger mattresses than the single dorm. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. You are given a clean towel when you get there and can ask for a replacement at any time. The bathrooms are shared and are separate from the rooms. Because the bathroom is outside it got dirty quite quickly, but someone cleaned the bathroom every morning. You can rent scooters on site for a decent price. There isn't an official restaurant, but the owner cook on some days. There are also plenty of restaurant options in the area. There are laundry facilities on the property and you can buy cold water and beer there too. The property does have a curfew at 23:00.
All in all I had a great time there. It's perfect if you're looking for something more relaxed, less fancy, and...
Read moreIt's actually really hard to give a bad feedback, specially for a good person as the owner is,but as traveller that search to have a nice experience, I think it's correct to share our experience: We've been there 4 nights and we booked because the feedbacks are all about connection, "you are never alone" ,super nice ect ect,in the picture the garden is green and fresh.
We didn't find anything 😕 of those things mentioned on the feedbacks ..the room was nice but the shower 🚿 in the morning works okay and in the evening switch from hot water to cold every 3 seconds.. In 4 days we met (when we were leaving) 3 people..2 of them were checking in and nobody was there to welcome them, in fact the place is 90% of the day time closed by a gate and nobody is there ...since 4 months (apparently) the owner has a restaurant (where you can have a beautiful breakfast ) and she is super busy..super really busy that you will feel bad to ask anything.. Sorry 😔 for it ,but this is what...
Read moreThe rate for the single rooms (was charged VND 619,000) do not even closely resemble the provided facilities. It is very noisy, you basically feel like being out in the open, the door has a 1cm gap, the bathroom has no door, and has an open connection to the court yard. There is basically zero facilities (no TV, kettle, shower gel/shampoo .. ), the room is basically blank. It already has a slightly moldy smell. The "bath" is just a big concrete hole in the back, would need at least 1-2 qm of water, i.e. you could (or would want) never fill it.
I left a night early, the owner seemed nice and genuinely interested in my feedback, but could not quite get a hold of it. Received a discount.
It would have been ok, if the room rate would have been about 1/4-1/3 of what I have been charged. One can get a decent hotel room for the...
