Nemo Restaurant — Restaurant in Phú Quốc

Super tasty and an absolute recommendation. We were quite positively surprised, under the name "Nemo" you do not necessarily expect Vietnamese delights, but we followed the reviews and were rewarded. Totally friendly (english-speaking) service/family, fresh fish in the display to choose from and definitely fairly priced. Mango salad, noodles with beef/bo and the Fried Rice egg/garlic were really great, the grilled barracuda also great made and tasty, we have never eaten anything better (but more expensive). The only thing completely different and worse than any other restaurant was unfortunately the garlic bread. Three slices of toast that firstly did not taste good and secondly were soggy after a very short time. No idea if this was a "stopgap" solution, since no other bread was available. I had the Bánh Xèo Hải Sản (Vietnamese Pancake - Seafood) for 129k đồng and Cơm Chiên Hải Sản (Seafood Fried Rice) for 89k đồng.

The Vietnamese pancake is not the usual Bánh Xèo that you find elsewhere. It is westernised, so there are no rolls and sauce to dip. It is really more like a thin pancake batter wrapping some seafood, a bit like the Pattaya Fried Rice concept. With that said, the taste is still decent and good amount of seafood in it.

The seafood fried rice is decent as well, lightly flavored, good amount of seafood in it. However, the flavor of the fried rice can be stronger. And there are not much wok hey in the fried rice.

Overall, the food is decent, but with the restaurant kinda price.

The environment is nice and the staffs are friendly. The restaurant is across the road from a restaurant with karaoke, so it can get quite noisy when people start blasting...

Location ben curata, molto simile agli standard delle trattorie europee. Pesce freschissimo che è possibile scegliere da una vasca che si trova davanti al locale, viene pesato davanti al cliente e cucinato in base alle sue richieste. Ottimo il pesce alla griglia. Lo chef consiglia il tipo di pesce che è preferibile scegliere a seconda di come chiediamo venga cucinato. Da consigliare l'aragosta, le capesante ed il dentice rosso. Buoni i dessert e la birra locale. Il conto è pari al costo dei piatti scelti, non c'è il coperto ed è possibile pagare anche con la carta di credito. Se è necessario fare un cambio il rapporto è quello ufficiale del giorno, nè più nè meno. Si viene accolti da una signora gentilissima con una buona conoscenza della lingua inglese. I clienti sono coccolati dall'ingresso all'uscita dal locale e la signora, su richiesta, provvede a chiamare il taxi per far rientro in hotel. Se si diventa frequentatori abituali non c'è più bisogno di fare determinate richieste perché, nonostante il locale sia sempre pieno, i camerieri si ricordano tutto. Il servizio è veloce e soprattutto i piatti arrivano insieme. In altri locali, dove pur si mangia bene, si viene serviti in tempi diversi e spesso si mangia da soli. If you become a regular visitor, there is no need to make certain requests because, despite the fact that the place is always full, the waiters remember everything.
